The Drukhari thought they had found easy prey.
The Baited Hook is live now for channel members, ahead of its public release tomorrow!
One of my earlier Obsidian Spears stories returns, much expanded and with new imagery throughout. A crippled freighter, a desperate crew, and a boarding party about to discover that the Sunken Promise is not quite as helpless as she appears.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a quick update and say thank you for sticking with Frecklesteins Tales.
The Obsidian Spears stories are continuing, and the world is still growing. Over the coming months, longer-form audio stories will also be released on Spotify under the show Ash & Salt, which gives me a bit more freedom to tell those stories in full without compromises.
This channel isn’t going anywhere. I’ll still be posting here — including trailers, shorter pieces, previews, and updates — and YouTube will remain part of how new people discover the stories and the setting. Think of it as different tides carrying the same current.
If you’d like to follow the full audio releases as they go out, you can find Ash & Salt on Spotify here:

I have started putting the back catalogue on there already, original stories will start appearing soon
As always, thank you for the comments, the support, and for caring about these stories as much as I do. More to come — in more than one place.

Quick update: the stories are now in the process of going live on Spotify 🎧
I’m republishing older stories there as well — the ones some of you ask about, or might’ve missed first time around — and all new stories will go up there going forward.
Same grimdark Warhammer tales.
Same dry humour, human moments, and bad decisions.
Just in a proper audiobook space, easy to listen to while you’re doing… literally anything else.
YouTube will always be home, but Spotify gives the stories room to breathe.

Let me know which older story you want added next.

You may have noticed (or not!) I have been a bit silent. The reason is that as Youtube feel that I have been re-uploading unoriginal content, they have demonetised the account. I suspect I know why this has happened - I disagree so have appealed but we will see.
In the meantime, while I certainly don't make much off this, it is usually enough to cover the costs of generating the voiceover and imagery, so demonetising is a bit frustrating.
I am still writing stories though, and will be putting another out soon - hopefully i can resolve the argument fairly quickly...

Query for the brethren - a fair number of warhammer 40k games are coming out in the next year or so. If I stream gameplay, would you watch?

If I were to pitch one of my stories to Games Workshop as a novel, which one would you like to see?

Hi all, apologies to those of you waiting for part four of The Black Tide Rolls. Unfortunately my mother is very ill currently so I am not in a place to be able to get the next chapter out.
It is coming though and will be out as soon as I can get it done.
