Tonightโs Scripture โ Psalm 121:3โ4, 7โ8
โHe will not let your foot slipโ
he who watches over you will not slumberโฆ
The Lord will keep you from all harmโ
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.โ
๐๐พ Reflection
As this day comes to an end, remember that God does not sleep. You may close your eyes tonight because the One who watches over you remains awake.
Perhaps today brought questions you could not answer, disappointments you did not expect, or worries about tomorrow. You do not have to solve everything tonight. Some things need prayer, patience, and time.
Notice the beautiful promise in this Psalm: โThe Lord will watch over your life.โ God is present not only in the big moments but also in your coming and going, your waiting, your searching, your hopes, and even the parts of your journey that you do not yet understand.
Before sleeping, ask yourself quietly: What am I carrying tonight that I need to place into Godโs hands?
Then tell the Lord: โFather, I have done what I could today. What I cannot control, I surrender to You. Watch over me tonight and guide me tomorrow.โ
๐ Prayer Before Sleep
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day. Thank You for the blessings I noticed and even those I did not see.
I surrender to You my worries, unanswered questions, disappointments, plans, and hopes. Where I made mistakes today, forgive me. Where I was hurt, heal me. Where I am confused, guide me.
Tonight, I choose to rest in Your presence. Watch over me and those I love. Protect us throughout the night. Renew my body, mind, and spirit.
And when You give me another day, help me to rise with renewed faith and courage.
Lord, You are awake, so I can sleep in peace. I place tomorrow in Your hands.
In Jesusโ name. Amen. ๐๐พ

๐ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! ๐โค๏ธ
Today, I thank God for the precious gift of life and for His faithfulness through every season of my journey. I am grateful for the victories, the lessons, the people He has placed in my life, and even the challenges that have made me stronger.
As I begin another year, my prayer is simple: Lord, lead me, protect me, strengthen my faith, and let my life continue to be a blessing to others. May this new chapter bring greater grace, divine favor, open doors, good health, peace, and fulfillment of Your purpose for my life.
๐ โThis is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.โ โ Psalm 118:24

Why Do Catholics Keep and Honor Relics?
Some people ask, โWhy do Catholics keep the bones or belongings of saints?โ
The answer is simple: Catholics do not worship relics. We worship God alone. We honor relics because Scripture shows that God sometimes worked through objects connected to holy people.
In 2 Kings 13, a dead man touched the bones of the prophet Elisha and came back to life. In Acts 19, handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched St. Paul were taken to the sick, and they were healed. In Exodus 13:19, Moses carried the bones of Joseph out of Egypt, honoring Josephโs request.
So when Catholics preserve the remains or belongings of saints, we are not saying that bones have power by themselves. The power belongs to God.
Relics remind us of holy men and women who belonged to Christ and point us toward the God they served.
We worship God; we honor His saints.

St. Alphonsus Liguori (1696โ1787) was a gifted nobleman from Naples who left a successful legal career to become a priest at the age of 30. He dedicated himself to serving young people by founding the Evening Chapels and later established the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists) to evangelize the poor and most abandoned. He was appointed Bishop of Santa Agata dei Goti and became a prolific spiritual writer, producing over 100 works on prayer, moral theology, and Christian life. Canonized in 1839 and later declared a Doctor of the Church, St. Alphonsus is remembered for teaching complete trust in and surrender to Godโs will. His example continues to inspire the Church with a life of holiness, compassion, and missionary zeal.

Third Sunday of Easter โ Luke 24:13โ35
โDid not our hearts burn within us?โ
The Gospel today tells us the beautiful story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. These two disciples were walking away from Jerusalem with heavy hearts. They were confused, disappointed, and filled with sorrow. They had hoped that Jesus would be the one to redeem Israel, but the cross had shattered their expectations.
As they walked, they spoke about everything that had happened. And in the middle of their confusion and sadness, something extraordinary happened: Jesus himself drew near and walked with them. Yet they did not recognize him.
How often is this also our experience? We walk through life with burdens, doubts, and questions. Sometimes we feel that God is far away or silent. But the truth revealed in this Gospel is that even when we do not recognize Him, Christ is walking with us.
Jesus patiently listened to them and then opened the Scriptures to them. Slowly their hearts began to change. They later said, โDid not our hearts burn within us while he spoke to us on the road?โ The Word of God began to rekindle hope inside them.
But the most powerful moment came at the table. When Jesus took the bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them, their eyes were opened and they recognized him. In that moment they realized that the risen Lord had been with them the whole time.
This reminds us that we encounter Christ in two powerful ways: in the Scriptures and in the breaking of the bread, which is the Eucharist. Every time we listen to the Word of God and every time we gather around the altar, the risen Lord comes close to us.
The story does not end there. Once the disciples recognized Jesus, they did not remain where they were. Even though it was night, they immediately returned to Jerusalem to share the good news: โThe Lord has truly been raised!โ
A real encounter with Christ always moves us. It renews our hope and sends us out to share the joy of the resurrection with others.
Today this Gospel invites us to ask ourselves:
Is Jesus walking with me in the ordinary paths of my life?
Do I allow the Word of God to set my heart on fire?
Do I recognize Christ in the Eucharist?
May we always invite Him, just as the disciples did:
โLord, stay with us.โ
And when He stays with us, our hearts will burn again with faith, hope, and love.
๐ Lord Jesus, walk with us in our doubts, open our hearts through your Word, and help us recognize you in the breaking of the bread. Amen.

As Christians, our loyalty is first to Christ and His Gospel.
The Holy Father reminds the world of something many have forgotten: peace is not weakness, mercy is not weakness, and speaking for the suffering is not weakness.
The mission of the Church has never been to follow politics, but to follow the words of Jesus: โBlessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.โ
When the Pope calls the world to peace, compassion, and justice, he is not speaking politics but he is speaking the Gospel.
Today more than ever, the world needs voices that remind us that power without love destroys, but love guided by truth can heal nations.
Let us pray for our Holy Father and for all leaders of the world, that their decisions may always protect human life, dignity, and peace.
