I’m strength training for more than how my body looks. I’m training for the woman I want to be 10, 20, 30+ years from now. ❤️💪🏾
As women, once we get into our 30s and beyond, preserving our muscle becomes increasingly important. And I’ve seen firsthand what can happen later in life when strength starts to decline.
I’ve watched my grandmothers and aunties struggle with falls, mobility, getting up and down, and eventually losing pieces of their independence.
That changed the way I look at the gym.
I’m not just lifting weights to be toned.
I’m building muscle so I can age gracefully.
I want strong legs that can carry me.
I want to be able to get off the floor by myself.
I want to climb stairs.
Carry my groceries.
Travel.
Play with my future grandbabies.
Take care of myself.
LIVE my life.
I’m building a body that can support the life I’m praying to live.
