In the Ozarks, we told a kid named Trenton we'd give him an internship if his video hit 1 million views

It just did.

We just called Trenton and his mom (pic 4) to tell them we're bringing them both to New York City. He's never been on a plane before.

While he's in NYC, we'll show him the office, show him the city, and maybe shoot something with him.

We just wrapped up shooting our latest series, in Illinois and Missouri. I knew nothing about this part of the country and ended up finding it fascinating. It's where the Midwest ends and the South begins. We can't wait to get these videos out!

We’ve got an exciting Roca update for you all.

We were in school when Trump was first elected. At the time, we vividly remember the media panicking about how they could have so badly misled their viewers. To us it was obvious: The outlets were too elitist, biased, and out-of-touch to accurately portray the country.

We were too young to do anything about it then, but in 2020, we took that lesson and channeled it into RocaNews. Our mission was simple: Capture the world without bias or fear. Over time, that developed into what you now see on this channel.

But we’ve long wanted to do something more. We grew up reading newspapers and magazines, and miss the days when you could do that and love what you read. Then last month, it dawned on us: We have a team of reporters who are out around the country, looking for stories. Why not start our own magazine?

So this weekend, we launched the Roca Mag: A digital magazine that we send straight to your inbox each Saturday. It’s written by the hosts you see on this channel, and features stories we find on the road that you don’t see here. And as important as what’s in the magazine is what’s not in it: None of the noise, slop, or instant reactions that dominate today’s media.

We just hit 1,000,000 subscribers and are expanding into international and sports content. To do this, we need driven, skilled people to shoot and then edit our videos. You don't need professional experience or a journalism degree, but you do need a desire to work hard; a passion for our content; and demonstrated video skill.

This is an entry-level position: We are looking for people who have demonstrated video skill but limited work experience. You'll travel a lot, see the world, and work long hours on tight deadlines. If that's not what you want, no need to apply. If it is what you want, do it ASAP!
