A message from Sandstone Capital's CEO-
Last night at approximately 6:59pm Sandstone Capital received an e-mail from an individual claiming to be a vendor of ours. The individual was very specific about a recent financial transaction in one of our brokerage accounts and also asked to "confirm" such transaction.
The author of the e-mail also claimed that "yours came back as possible" for a bug.Given the suspicious nature (time of day when the e-mail was received), and that we have never received an e-mail from this person before, I immediately initiated our security protocol out of an abundance of caution.
This morning I contacted our legal counsel and forwarded all correspondence relating to this matter and per his advice, temporarily suspended our company's X (Twitter) page pending the outcome of his thorough investigation. I've been told that this could possibly have been a case of miscommunication. I take these types of matters seriously and if you are one of our X followers, please bear with us as we complete our investigation.
