Rust and Redemption Co.

Hey there, I’m JW — and welcome to Rust and Redemption Co. I’m not a welder or a fabricator, and I don’t have a shop or a team — just a driveway, a handful of tools, and sometimes my pops when I need an extra hand. I work a regular job, live paycheck to paycheck, and spend my free time bringing life back to what’s been left behind.

The rust on these old vehicles tells a story — of time, neglect, and weather slowly taking their toll. My faith’s seen the same. Life can dull the shine if you don’t tend to it. I’ve let things sit too long, skipped too many Sundays, and let dust settle where devotion used to be. Now, as I strip away the rust and rebuild these machines, I’m learning to do the same with my walk with Christ — one bolt, one prayer, one step at a time; restoring what neglect wore thin and trusting God to strengthen what time has weakened.

This is about second chances, faith, and hard work — rebuilding what’s broken in the machine and in the man

Rust and Redemption Co.

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally time for something new.

I’m shifting gears from The Bootheel Kid to a new chapter called Rust and Redemption Co. — a place where faith, family, and classic vehicles come together.

For the next few months, you’ll see the channel listed as “Rust and Redemption Co. by The Bootheel Kid.” That’s just to help YouTube’s system connect the old channel to the new direction. Once things settle in, the name will officially become Rust and Redemption Co.

This old ’78 Dodge D100 is where it starts. She burns as much oil as she does fuel, but the Lord’s been showing me that sometimes what’s worn out just needs a little faith and hard work to find new life.

The first video drops soon — a weekend engine swap, a story of second chances, and a reminder that God’s still in the restoration business.

Thank you all for sticking around through the years. I hope you’ll join me for what’s next.
