I am Prajnitha. My journey to qualifying CSIR-NET JRF has been a long one, filled with failures, heavy responsibilities, and many moments where I was this close to giving up entirely.

I finished my MSc in 2017. In 2018, I gave KSET for the first time but without much preparation, I didn't qualify. Around that time, I accidentally came across J Chemistry, and that became an important turning point in my journey. I joined the Hydrogen batch, and for the first time, my preparation had true direction. With that guidance and consistent efforts, I cleared KSET in 2020 and GATE in 2021!

However, Cracking CSIR-NET was still the ultimate goal. Alongside my preparation, I was also working, but balancing work and studies was incredibly tough. I even got selected for two government jobs but couldn’t join due to sheer bad luck and circumstances. In December 2023, I finally cleared CSIR-NET with LS... but the JRF dream was still pending.

Then, in 2024, life took a completely different turn. My mother suffered a stroke, leaving her dependent on us for her most basic needs. She couldn’t walk or eat on her own. Without a second thought, I left my job to care for her and manage the household. Naturally, my studies took a back seat. Even today, she is still recovering.

Even through the toughest days, somewhere inside me, the dream of qualifying JRF never disappeared. I decided to give myself one last chance. Despite everything that had happened, I started preparing again. It wasn’t easy to find time and stay focused, but I kept going.

And finally... this time…I QUALIFIED CSIR-NET JRF!

This isn't just an exam result for me. It represents years of trying, failing, starting again, and refusing to give up.

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to Jyoti Ma’am and the entire J Chemistry team. J Chemistry is where my real journey began, and your support, guidance, and encouragement helped me cross the finish line after all these years. ❤️

How I Went from 75 Marks to AIR 51 JRF ? My CSIR NET Preparation Journey!

First and foremost, a massive thank you to Jyoti Ma’am and the entire J Chemistry team, all the credit goes to you only. I trusted you blindly throughout this journey. While the content was undoubtedly top-notch, it was your constant motivation and guidance that kept me going when things got tough.

I am Vibha Verma from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and if you are struggling with Organic Chemistry right now, this post is for you.

Back in school, Chemistry was my weakest subject. It wasn't until B.Sc. that a ray of hope appeared, thanks to my Inorganic Chemistry professor, Bhandari Ma'am. Her classes sparked enough interest in me to pursue an M.Sc. in Chemistry.

I first heard about the CSIR NET exam in my final semester of B.Sc. and decided to start preparing from Day 1 of my Master's. But reality hits hard. Within 10-12 days I started facing difficulties in managing the M.Sc. and CSIR NET simultaneously, and eventually I quit my preparation within just 15 days. I shifted my entire focus to semester exams; which meant just ratta-fying (memorizing) without understanding the concepts. I didn't even attempt the NET exam once during my Master's.

The very next day my M.Sc. exams ended, I enrolled in J Chemistry. That’s when I got a massive reality check: I was an absolute zero in Organic Chemistry. I didn't even know how a basic acid-base reaction proceeded! I was average in Physical and quite good in Inorganic, but I had severe "Organic Phobia."

In my first attempt (Dec 2025), I made notes and solved PYQs for Physical and Inorganic, but I completely let my Organic Phobia win. I only covered 20-25% of the Organic syllabus (GOC, Aromaticity, Reaction Mechanisms, a bit of Stereo). As a result, I couldn't confidently solve a single Organic question in the exam. I scored 75 marks; qualifying only for a Ph.D.

That was the time when I realised any how I have to fight my fear ( Nahi to kuchh nahi ho sakta). When I restarted my prep, I made a promise to myself on Day 1: I will not let a single day pass without studying Organic Chemistry.

It was incredibly hard at first. But I didn't stop. I completed all the lectures, did repeated revisions, and solved every PYQ. Slowly, the confidence started building.

What acted as my ultimate "Brahmastra" was the test series (which I had completely skipped in my first attempt).

Finally, This time (CSIR NET June 2026 exam), I qualified CSIR-NET with AIR-51 JRF! 🎉

And the best part? The maximum marks I scored in the entire exam came from Organic Chemistry. When I look back, I still can't believe that the Organic Chemistry that used to be my biggest nightmare turned out to be my greatest strength.

How I Cracked CSIR NET Despite the Unfair 16-Mark Blunder?

I am Pritam Bhowmik, my journey started back in the 2020 lockdown. Like many of you, I was navigating a lot of uncertainty, but that’s when my journey with J Chemistry truly began.

Honestly, whatever conceptual foundation and understanding of chemistry I possess today is solely because of Guru Ma's (Jyoti Mam) teaching. Even now, for every single exam I appear in, my ultimate "brahmastra" and most trusted resource remains those handwritten notes I made from her classes back then. They are my absolute backbone.

Let's talk about this CSIR NET attempt. The cut-off went noticeably high, and it's frustrating because it was largely influenced by multiple flawed questions across the paper; including 3 incorrect organic questions (4 marks each!) alongside problematic questions in polymer and inorganic chemistry.

In a high-stakes exam with margins as tight as CSIR NET, a swing of 12–16 marks completely alters the dynamic. Awarding full marks only to those who attempted the flawed questions naturally distorts the cut-off. Logically and fairly, this benefit should be extended across the board to all aspirants so no one is penalized for exercising caution and skipping an ambiguous question. 📉💔

But despite these volatile cut-off shifts and having narrowly missed out in the past... the concepts held strong. They carried me across the line, and I am so relieved and happy to share that I have qualified for CSIR NET with AIR 19! 🎯

My name is Nisha Pandey. After passing Class 12, I had one dream: to crack NEET UG. I poured my heart into preparation for two consecutive years, but when the results came, I was left behind by a huge margin from the cutoff. That was my first real taste of failure, and it broke me.

I tried to move on. I completed my B.Sc., then enrolled in an M.Sc. program, and started preparing for the CSIR NET exam. When I gave my first NET attempt, I scored a devastating 30 marks. I couldn't even believe it. All that old trauma from my NEET failure came rushing back. I truly started believing that I was just not a person capable of achieving anything in life.

Finally, I reached a breaking point. I made a promise to myself: This is it. I will give my absolute best for this CSIR NET exam, but if I don't make it to NET JRF this time, I am done preparing forever.

I studied harder than I ever had in my life. I gave it everything.

And this time... I was selected for NET JRF and that too with AIR 32. ✨

From losing interest in my subject to securing AIR 11 in CSIR NET, my journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster, and this is for anyone who feels like giving up right now.

I am Mahasweta Mukherjee. I started my B.Sc Chemistry Hons. at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) with big dreams of pursuing a Ph.D. But as time went on, the spark faded. I completely lost interest in Chemistry and even started thinking about switching paths to prepare for government exams.

Then came the COVID lockdown. One day, I randomly stumbled upon Jyoti Ma'am’s video on Acids and Bases on J Chemistry YouTube channel. That one video changed everything. Suddenly, my love for the subject was completely reignited!

The Mistake That Cost Me 2 Attempts And How I Got AIR 63 JRF?

I’m Sumouli from West Bengal. Today I’m celebrating a massive milestone, but I want to share the real story behind this rank.

June 2024 Exam: I started self-studying in my Master's 2nd year. Gave the exam just to understand the pattern and realtime exam experience. Didn't qualify.

June 2025 Exam: Prepared harder, but a personal incident completely broke me just one week before the exam. I underperformed and felt totally lost. 😔

The Turning Point: I finally stopped procrastinating and realized I needed real guidance. I joined J Chemistry’s recorded course and started from scratch; mainly focusing on the Organic Chemistry part, where I was considerably weak.

Honestly at first, Organic reaction mechanisms and name reactions made me want to cry. I genuinely questioned, "Is this really for me?" 😭 But little by little, listening to Jyoti Ma'am's lectures and grinding through PYQs changed everything. This time, I took the Test series and assignments very seriously, and analyzed every mistake from the video solutions.

After years of anticipation, patience, and heavy self-doubt, I finally got the result of my dreams: AIR 63 JRF! 🏆

Meri preparation ki journey Masters ke time shuru hui thi. Mujhe apne liye ek best teacher chahiye tha, aur tab mujhe J Chemistry ke baare mein pata chala or mene mam ki videos se pdhna start kiya. Organic Chemistry ke reactions aur mechanisms kbhi itne ache se smjh nhi aate the. Par jab Mam ne ekdum basics se padhana shuru kiya, toh pehli baar Organic mein interest bana aur saare concepts clear hone lage.

But, meri preparation journey bilkul bhi straight line nahi thi. Meri sabse badi galti thi; lack of revision and inconsistency. Iski wajah se syllabus kabhi khatam nahi ho pata tha, scores hamesha kharab aate the, aur main bohot demotivated feel karti thi. Ek point par lagta tha ki shayad mujhse nahi hoga. Par iss baar maine khud ko "Ek Last Chance" diya. 🎯

Maine is baar sirf classes nahi dekhi, balki properly notes bhi revise kiye aur consistency maintain ki. Aur finally, wo mehnat rang laayi!

No, this isn't a countdown or a random phone number. These are my CSIR-NET scores, and together, they tell the chaotic, highly unfiltered story of my journey to clearing JRF.

I’m Rajan Singla. My story begins right where my M.Sc. ended in May 2023. Like the majority of the clueless student, I lived my university life to the absolute fullest; zero stress, maximum fun. But then along came the reality check question: Now what?

Suddenly, every piece of advice I had ignored from my parents, professors, and seniors started echoing in my head. The regret of "I really should have started earlier" was incredibly real. But rather than panic, I decided to take the leap and aim for CSIR-NET. My first real step was taking a J Chemistry subscription. Finally, I could see a road ahead.

I gave two exams. Saying "just two exams" sounds quick, but they were a whole year of preparation for the exam.

Eventually, with the full support of my family, friends, and professors, I joined a PhD program. I was incredibly lucky to have a guide who supported me in balancing my research with my exam prep. I went all in; rigorous revision, countless mock tests, PYQs, and endless assignment questions. The hard work paid off: on my 3rd attempt, I cleared LS (Lectureship) with a score of 107.5!

Naturally, everyone around me started saying, “Hnn hnn, is baar LS ho gaya, agli baar toh JRF ho hi jayega!”

And unfortunately... that fun-loving M.Sc. student inside me woke up and agreed. My brain said, “Le, ab toh ho gaya. Ab mauje hi mauje!” My consistency vanished overnight. Overconfidence clouded me, and my graph went straight back down. My next scores? A humbling 84 and a brutal 55.

Spending another year as a scholar without a fellowship was a massive reality check. It taught me a lesson I desperately needed. I dropped the ego, got back to basics, and focused on highly strategic preparation and rigorous revision.

Finally, as a 2nd-year PhD scholar, everything worked out and CSIR-NET JRF cleared.
Marks: 129
AIR: 56 🎯

Looking back at that rollercoaster of a scorecard, I want to thank every single person who knowingly or unknowingly carved me in a way that I was able to achieve this. If you are stuck in the middle of your own messy graph right now, keep going. Progress is rarely a straight line, but the comeback is always worth it.

Ma’am, after all these attempts, I finally get to send you the message I had been hoping to send for years! 🥹❤️Six attempts, a lot of ups and downs, and finally JRF. I genuinely wanted you to know this, Ma’am. Thank you for being a part of my journey. 🙏🏻

Main kabhi ek topper nahi rahi, ek bohot hi average student thi. Meri kahani mein failures the, aansu the, aur rukaawatein thi... lekin sabse badhkar, kabhi na haar manne ki zidd thi. Agar aapko lagta hai ki aapki life mein bohot struggles hain, toh meri yeh journey shayad aapko himmat de.

Main apne gaon mein apne mata-pita ke saath rehti thi aur wahin se meri padhai shuru hui. Main kabhi bahut achi student nahi rahi; main ek average student thi. High school tak ki padhai maine apne gaon se hi ki. Iske baad intermediate ki padhai ke liye main Pithoragarh shahar aa gayi. Us samay hamare school mein teachers ki kami thi, isliye padhai ka level bahut acha nahi tha. Mere marks na bahut kharab the aur na hi bahut ache the. Intermediate ke baad maine Pithoragarh se hi B.Sc. mein admission liya.

The Hindi-Medium Struggle 📚
B.Sc. mere liye easy nahi tha, kyunki maine 12th tak Hindi medium se padhai ki thi aur achanak B.Sc. ki padhai English mein hone lagi. Shuruaat mein mujhe subjects samajhne mein bahut dikkat hoti thi. Kitabon ka material samajhna bhi challenging lagta tha. Phir bhi, kisi tarah maine teen saal poore kiye aur B.Sc. complete kar li.
Iske baad maine M.Sc. mein admission liya. M.Sc. tak pahunchte-pahunchte meri English thodi better ho gayi thi. Ab main kam se kam books padhkar unka content samajhne lagi thi. Maine M.Sc. ka pehla aur doosra semester complete kiya.

M.Sc, B.Ed. aur Shaadi 💍
Isi dauran B.Ed. ki entrance exam hui. Maine exam diya aur mera selection Kashipur Degree College mein ho gaya. Us samay maine socha tha ki pehle M.Sc. complete kar loongi aur uske baad B.Ed. karungi. Lekin mere papa ne salah di ki B.Ed. us samay ek saal ka hai aur future mein shayad do saal ka ho sakta hai, isliye pehle B.Ed. kar lena better hoga.
Us samay mujhe yah nahi pata tha ki B.Ed. ka session 1 sal piche chal raha tha or meri M.Sc. ke academic session overlap ho jayega. Maine papa ki salah maankar B.Ed. mein admission le liya. B.Ed. k dauran meri shaadi ho gayi. Us samay meri umr sirf 21 saal thi. Maine B.Ed. complete kar liya, lekin M.Sc. complete nahi ho pai. B.Ed. ke baad main wapas Pithoragarh gayi, taaki M.Sc. complete kar sakun. Lekin jab meri M.Sc. ki exams shuru hui, tab mera beta sirf teen din ka tha. Main exam nahi de pai aur us saal bhi meri M.Sc. aage nahi badh saki. Us samay tak mujhe CSIR-NET ke baare mein kuch bhi pata nahi tha.
Baad mein mere husband ne mujhse kaha ki main Haldwani (Jahan mere husband job karte the us time) aa jaun. Unhone suggest kiya ki yahan degree college mein baat karke main yahin se M.Sc. complete kar sakti hoon. Main Haldwani gayi aur college mein admission ke baare mein information li. Wahan teachers ne meri situation samajhte hue bataya ki meri B.Ed. ki degree jis session ki hai, usi session mein meri M.Sc. ka first year bhi recorded hai. Isliye mujhe doosre semester ki marksheet cancel karwani padegi.

Mere liye yah bahut difficult situation thi, kyunki ek saal pehle hi waste ho chuka tha. Mujhe yah bhi bataya gaya ki B.Sc. ke baad M.Sc. complete karne ki 4 years fixed time limit hoti hai. Mere paas sirf final year bacha tha. Agar is saal bhi M.Sc. complete nahi hui, to meri saalon ki mehnat waste ho sakti thi. Main university gayi aur wahan kuch senior professors ko apni poori situation batayi. Unhone kaha ki kyunki beech mein meri padhai mein B.Ed. ke karan gap aaya tha, isliye shayad mujhe ek additional year mil sakta hai. Mujhe laga ki ab mere liye raasta khul gaya hai. Maine doosre semester ki marksheet cancel karwai aur dobara doosre semester mein admission liya. Maine exam bhi diya, lekin exam dene ke baad mera result rok diya gaya. Main phir university gayi. Wahan mujhe meri marksheet dikhai gayi aur bataya gaya ki ise college bhej diya jayega. Iske baad maine third semester mein bhi admission le liya. Lekin jab third semester ki exam ka time aaya, to baaki sabhi students ke admit cards aa gaye, jabki mera admit card nahi aaya. Jaanch karne par mujhe bataya gaya ki meri chaar saal ki defined duration poori ho chuki hai aur ab mujhe exam dene ki permission nahi di ja sakti. Yah mere liye bahut bada shock tha.

Main do-teen din tak lagatar roti rahi. Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha tha ki mere saath aisa kyun hua. Maine itne saalon tak padhai ki thi aur ab lag raha tha ki sab kuch wahin khatam ho gaya.
Mere paas Open University se M.Sc. karne ke alawa koi option nahi bacha tha. Aakhirkar maine Uttarakhand Open University se apni M.Sc. complete ki. Usi college mein Mathematics ke ek professor the. Unhin se maine pehli baar CSIR-NET ke baare mein suna. Lekin us samay competitive exam ka naam sunkar hi mujhe dar lagta tha. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki main koi competitive exam doongi. Isliye NET ke baare mein sunne ke baad maine jyada dhyan nahi diya or main apni life mein aage badh gayi.

M.Sc. complete karne ke baad maine YouTube ke through thoda-thoda padhna shuru kiya. Dheere-dheere subjects samajh mein aane lage aur mera confidence bhi badhne laga.
Iske baad maine PhD ki entrance exam di aur use qualify kar liya. Mere liye ye bahut important achievement thi. Pehli baar mujhe laga ki shayad main bhi aage kuch kar sakti hoon.

Iske baad maine J Chemistry coaching join ki. Jyoti mam se mile guidance, teachers ki mehnat aur padhane ke systematic tareeke ne meri preparation ko ek nayi direction di. Shuruaat mein mujhe kai topics difficult lagte the, lekin mam ki classes, study material aur continuous guidance se meri understanding dheere-dheere better hoti gayi. Sabse important baat ye thi ki mujhe apni preparation par confidence hone laga.
Lekin tab tak meri life pehle jaisi nahi rahi thi. Meri shaadi ho chuki thi, ghar ki responsibilities thin aur isi beech mere do bachche bhi ho gaye the. Ek taraf PhD karni thi, doosri taraf ghar sambhalna tha, bachchon ki care karni thi aur saath hi NET ki preparation bhi karni thi. Kai baar main padhne baithti aur tabhi ghar ka koi kaam aa jata. Kabhi bachchon ki responsibility, kabhi ghar ka kaam aur kabhi PhD se juda work. Kai baar poora din nikal jata aur main properly padhai nahi kar pati. Phir bhi maine NET ki exam dena jaari rakha. Pehli baar jab maine NET ki exam di, tab maine properly preparation bhi nahi ki thi.

Meri fail hone ki series kuch aisi thi:
❌ 1st Attempt: 30 Marks
❌ 2nd Attempt: 50 Marks
❌ 3rd Attempt: 60 Marks
❌ 4th Attempt: 80 Marks
Mere marks dheere-dheere badh rahe the, lekin main abhi bhi exam qualify nahi kar pai thi.

Har fail attempt ke baad main toot jati thi. Mujhe lagta tha general category mein sirf 1% selection hota hai, mera kaise hoga? Tab mere husband ne mujhse ek baat kahi jisne mera nazariya badal diya; "Tum us 1% par dhyan mat do. Tumhe sirf ek seat chahiye." Aur mere PhD supervisor ne hamesha vishwas dilaya ki main JRF nikal sakti hoon. Main unki baat sunti thi, lekin andar se mujhe phir bhi dar lagta tha ki pata nahi main successful ho paungi ya nahi.

The Final Result 🏆
Maine paanchvi baar (5th attempt) NET ka exam diya. Aur jab result aaya, toh us par likha tha:
✅ Marks: 128
✅ Percentile: 99.43%
✅ AIR: 58 (JRF Qualified!) 🎉

Mujhe vishwas hi nahi hua! Shaadi ke 11 saal baad, ek average student jo competitive exams se darti thi, aaj AIR 58 le aayi thi. Aaj jab main peeche mudkar dekhti hoon, toh mujhe samajh aata hai ki mere pichle attempts bekaar nahi the; main har baar thoda thoda aage badh rahi thi. (30 ➡️ 50 ➡️ 60 ➡️ 80 ➡️ 128)

Agar main chauthe attempt ke baad ruk jati, toh yeh AIR 58 kabhi nahi aati. Yeh sirf ek result nahi, meri poori zindagi ki kahani hai. Ek chhote se kasbe ki ek average student ki poori kahani.

My name is Deep. I’m beyond thrilled to share that I have qualified CSIR-NET (Chemical Sciences) June 2026 with AIR 49 and secured JRF! 🎉🏆

Let's rewind a bit. Pursuing a Master’s at IIT Delhi isn't exactly a walk in the park. Between the endless assignments, managing semesters, exams & everything else that comes with IIT life, and the constant advice to "just focus on your CGPA," finding time for competitive prep felt almost impossible. Some people went out of their way to tell me “You wouldn't be able to handle it and Just focus on your semester. CSIR-NET tumhare liye mushkil hai. Tu bas ratta maarta hai tuje kuch nhi ata!”

Honestly? Those words were meant to discourage me, but they ended up lighting a fire in me instead🔥and motivated me to give it a serious try.

During my summer break, I went back home. Did I lock myself in a room and study 15 hours a day? Nope. I spent most of my time enjoying my hometown, eating amazing ghar ka khana, and resting. But whatever limited time I did study, I made it count.
