Welcome to Green Hawk Drive! I make videos about the cars from the 1970s-2000s. Each week is a different decade, for the most part. I am not a car expert, not even close, but cars are my passion. I spend many hours doing research to make the most accurate and interesting videos for you to watch. Enjoy!

The iceberg video did really well, and I want to show my appreciation by making another one!
With the GMT800 iceberg, there were still a good amount of things I missed, so I’m thinking about making a Part 2.
I’m also going to try to get a shorter video out later this month, with the next iceberg video coming sometime in November. Thanks for all the support!

Who built the best compact truck of the 1990s? All trucks shown are extended cab models with automatic transmissions.
Be sure to watch my latest video to help jog your memory on each of these trucks!

I made it back home, drove over 3,000 miles, and it was quite the journey.
As for the good: Averaged 40.2 miles per gallon, didn’t go into limp mode, didn’t lose power or fuel economy, and made it in one piece.
As for the bad: 2 check engine light codes, noticed sputtering while in Wisconsin at lower RPMs (guessing it’s EGR related), crack in the windshield, and I put regular fuel instead of diesel while in Gary, Indiana. However, I noticed it right away, didn’t start the engine or put the key in the ignition to cycle the fuel pump, so a quick siphon and it was nothing but an expensive fuel up. Lastly, I wiped my finger inside the exhaust pipe and it was caked in soot—and now, after 8 months, she’s finally got a name: “Soot.”
With that said, I’m sick of the emissions control system in these 2.0 TDIs. They are junk. I think some of you know where I’m going with this, so if anyone in Florida knows of a reputable shop that can take Soot to the next level, I’m all ears… or eyes, I guess.
Expect new videos next week—thank you all for your patience.

Hey everyone – I wanted to share a quick update with you.
As of today, I’ve officially graduated from the University of South Florida and moved out of my apartment, which explains the two-week gap in uploads. It’s been a hectic time, but I appreciate your patience.
Tomorrow, Friday, August 8th, I’m hitting the road for a trip to the great state of Wisconsin – in the wagon, of course (fingers crossed she makes it). I’ll be gone for at least 10 days, so expect a bit more delay in content. That said, I do have a video scheduled to go live on August 8th at 6PM EST, so keep an eye out for that!
This channel has been my passion, but with new chapters come new demands—and sometimes that means hitting pause, just for a moment. I hope you all understand, and I can’t thank you enough for sticking with me.
In the meantime, wish me luck—either with life, or with making it to Wisconsin without blowing a coolant hose.
