Kidmin Collective

Kidmin Collective exists to help churches lead kids in worship. Our team has over 30 years of combined kids ministry experience and also specifically leading kids in worship. Over the years we have learned lessons and principles we believe hold true for most churches. It's our hope to help resource kid pastors with effective songs and trainings to take their worship teams and services to the next level!

Holding volunteers accountable can feel hard. They're giving their time for free, so we should just be thankful, right?

Not exactly. You can be thankful for someone giving their time AND still have standards you hold them to. We want to steward people's talents and giftings well, and that means helping them find their sweet spot. Keeping someone in an area of ministry they aren't cut out for is bad for them, and it's bad for your ministry. Your other volunteers know it and feel it too, and if you drag your feet on hard conversations, you may lose your good leaders.

This post walks through six steps to hold your leaders accountable without being harsh: check in, name it, listen, be clear about the standard, watch closely, and call out the improvement.
