On This Day....

At Clifford Park, the British Union Jack was lowered for the final time, allowing the Bahamian Flag to rise for the first time, thus marks the nation's independence.

53 years later, we are still celebrating, proud and determined. I love this country with allowing my heart. From its historical events to the warm atmosphere and sandy beaches allowing tourism, I am glad to call this place my home.
