Parallama

It's Friday, so that means a new Parallama song! This one's called Pockets. The players on this one are: Joel Foose, Joe Harris, and myself. As usual, Joel plays a mean bass, and Joe Harris plays some screaming lead guitar parts. The video was assembled from clips taken from a restored version of the 1915 silent film of Alice in Wonderland. We hope you like it.

Next Friday, we will have a special Halloween song/video called Zombie for you!

We've got a new one for you today. The players on this one are Joel Foose and myself (Mike). We have two more songs coming in October! Feels a bit like we're running a marathon on stilts, trying not to face plant.

We are excited about this one. It's called Rowdy Dawg and features Joel Foose on bass, Robert Keith on guitar, and me on vocals, lead guitar, drums, keys, and feral bodily noises. This is the song you might get if Zappa, Steely Dan, and Angine de Poitrine were forced to play together while Weird Al watched from the sidelines. Let us know what you think about this one. BTW, we'll release a new song every week in October ... I know it's crazy.

Time for a new Parallama song. This one's called Rock 'n Roll. It features Joel Foose on bass, Joe Harris on guitar, Hannah Troyer on vocals, and Mike Strickland doing many things. We hope you like it.

It's been two weeks, so it's time for a new song. This one is called "The Draft" and it features some new players. The new folks on this one are (1) Joe Harris (aka Crazy Joe Harris aka Yeung Colonell Angus) who added some guitar bits and (2) Amy Spencer who gave us some pitch perfect singing. We are very happy for their support. As for the usual folk, we have Joel Foose on bass, Robert Keith added some guitar work, and finally our musical cat wrangler Mike Strickland on writing, guitar, keys, vocals, and everything else in-between.

Continuing our "new song every two weeks" plan, here's one called Turtledove. For this one, I managed to convince Hannah Troyer to sing some parts. Thanks so much to Hannah for agreeing to indulge us.

This tune started from a riff Joel showed up with and it blossomed from there.

We like it. We hope you like it.

New video for "Get on Out". It's another funky number with a reasonably danceable beat.

New video for "Blisters". Not sure where this song came from in the universe, but I warmly welcomed it into the fold.
