I'm based in the Wilmington NC/Myrtle Beach SC area as that's where my home elevators are located, but most of my elevator content is filmed on trips.
For EAS, My main NOAA Weather station is KHB31 in Winnabow NC. I also get FM alerts.

The next rendition of Carolina Madness will be underway.
ILM issued more TORs today then the rest of the year leading up to this point, but it wasn't just that they issued those. At least 2 tornadoes have already been confirmed from today in ILM, one in Columbus County and another in Pender County. There were some TOR-C continuations which I recorded. The biggest thing of all though, was the first time hearing "This is a particularly dangerous situation." MHX issued a TOR-C and continued it with PDS twice. Quite a loaded day.

Well scratch the stream video, because guess what? I got almost all the alerts in the car! I pretty much followed the event home, as I first started getting alerts when I crossed into NC from VA on I-95, and it continued all the way back home. So eventually I'll have a video out on that, as well as some alerts from Sterling VA.

So if y'all saw what went down in ILM yesterday, you know a pretty big comp is coming.
In fact, a certain series that I almost forgot about might need to make a return. I haven't made a video with this title since 2024. Back then I had some pretty bad judgment should I say on making those at the right times, I didn't even do one during Helene but I did one for Idalia.💀
Anyways, I think you may know what I'm hinting at.

So unfortunately my gray button ER200 is having a massive problem now. It only works when power is being given to the radio, being I have to have it plugged in all the time to work. I had a similar issue with my old ER310, which Midland replaced for me thankfully, but if I can't find a fix to this issue, Midland sure as heck won't find one of these to give to me lol.

I thought I'd apologize for uploads being kind of slower than normal. Editing can be a real pain sometimes, especially when there are other things going on, as summer break is now over. But I do have another EAS compilation coming up which will include all alerts since the 10th. I had a great summer though this year, we'll see what's in store for fall!

I'll be doing my best to not buy anymore of these cheap Chinese adapters. I had been using this adapter on my Uniden BC780XLT for a few months. Earlier I went over and looked at the radio and the backlight wasn't fully bright, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and then it refused to turn on. After testing the scanner with another adapter it still works completely fine. The adapter made a big spark when I plugged it back into the outlet once, so I'm throwing this thing out. I don't wanna have to buy another one of these and I can't find anybody selling the factory adapter for the scanner, so I'm just gonna sell the scanner as is with an antenna and buy a different scanner to take its place. Thinking about a Pro-2054 maybe. If anyone wants to buy it off of me here's the link:

Welp it's time to say goodbye to a long timer of this channel. My primary FM DXer, the Sangean ATS-909X2, has been sold and will be replaced with the Deepelec DP-666 which has a TEF6686 chip. I've researched for quite some time now and I've heard that the TEF seems to be the best FM DXer there is, and I heard that they use TEFs in some cars (which would make sense since when I'm in the car the reception is magnificent) so I'm pretty exciting to see how it performs compared to how the 909X2 performed. The TEF hasn't arrived yet so I'll have to stick to my ER310 for FM temporarily but hopefully it arrives within the next week. It has been a great 3 years with this thing, so long to the Sangean ATS-909X2.

So today a lot of the action that happened in ILM I was not able to get since I was in Charlotte for the day. I was able to get some SVRs on KHC27, but for all the KHB31 alerts I will have to use my stream but I'll make an exception to count them.
