For all those who thought the Wurlitzer 125 at Pullen Park’s Dentzel Carousel was permanently unplugged and or unplayable- It’s not!
The organ had an issue towards the end of the 2024 operating season, and was dormant all the way until early summer 2025; when it was tuned and repaired and has been playing happily upon request ever since.
Durward Center out of Baltimore, takes care of the organ; and has basically taken care of it for a good chunk of its life.
About 2 months ago now, it was tuned again and plays a lovely march roll! I got a large batch of recordings of the songs on this roll recently when a kind operator of the carousel played the organ for me for 25 minutes straight! Keep an eye out for those!
The roll in question is unknown to me; I cannot find it in the archive and the songs on it do not match any rolls I can find. It starts with the “Army Air Corps March”, then 3 unknown marches. After those, it plays “Wings Of Gold”, another unknown march, then “Semper Paratus”, then another unknown march and then “Woman Of The Year”
And then I didn’t get any other recordings after that. Can someone identify this roll!?
Lastly, since Pullen shuts the organ off mid song, the organ’s rewind mechanism has developed a leak and will need re-restoration. Durward Center said this will happen around Christmas 2026 and then it will not be able to play until around spring 2027 when the part will be reinstalled and the organ can play again.
Thanks for reading this lengthy post!

Thanks to my teacher for taking this pic of the (sadly) non operational Seeburg KT at Disney world. I have heard rumors that it might be restored soon? I also hope the Wurlitzer C Mr Sam will be ok after the Diamond Horseshoe’s remodel, and that big Bertha comes back after being broken.

The Silver Beach Carousel Stinson organ is back working! I was not able to get any videos of it because we asked the operator to play the North Tonawanda 187 and then he just played that for the rest of our time there. Sorry y’all! I promise you though, it is working again. We also found what potentially might be another band organ there, it would be in the trailer that I put pics of on this post. It might be empty and that is where the 187 was before it was moved into the carousel house, but there is a chance that there might be another organ inside. Yay!
