Thank you for watching my videos!
On this channel, I mainly want to document my daily life and share some inner feelings and thoughts, the kind I might not want my family to see.
Hope we can connect and understand each other here, and become great friends.
JQ - Life in China
This is crazy! They're selling Halloween stuff and Christmas stuff at the same time, right at Sam's Club in China! I think this is so funny, I want to share this moment with you all.
Does this kind of thing happen where you are? or only in China?

JQ - Life in China
Hi, everyone, it's JQ. I really miss you guys! Finally, my new video will be uploaded on Friday, hopefully. Because some things in my life got worse, and I've been busy finding directions, I haven't been able to update a Youtube video for a long time. I'm so sorry.
In this new video, I'll briefly talk about what happened, how I adjusted my mood and insights through some fun events at the festival night market, and how I've been dealing with the pressure that comes from my parents' unconditional love.
What I'm doing might not be right. A lot of the time I'm lost, and I get so panicked that I lose the direction I'm trying to move in. But this is real. This is what I'm facing, and I can't avoid it. And I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me.

JQ - Life in China
1a.m. , at a 24hour McDonald's. Today, while walking my boys, Quantou wandered over here and refused to leave, he insisted on coming in to get something to eat. So I bought an ice cream for them to share with each other.
I'm curious which city are you from? Are dogs allowed into restaurants and stores where you are?

JQ - Life in China
Hello, It's JQ. I just posted a video on JQ EXPLORE.
During our lunch, the 26 yrs old international student who had been studying and living in China for a year told me about his real experiences over the past year.
He talked about the differences between the propaganda he had seen before coming to China and what he actually experienced while living here — covering food, shopping, transportation, culture, and more... as well as the scholarship policies for studying in China.
He also shared his understanding of whether China is safe. He also told me the differences in how law enforcement agencies and schools in China treat local people versus foreigners.
I wouldn't say i agree with all of his views, but these are his genuine feelings. And Indeed, there are many facts that I, as a Chinese person living in China, didn't even know.

JQ - Life in China
Hi, Everyone~ The weekend is almost here ! Hope you all have a great one!
My new video should be up by Saturday. In this one, I'll take you along to spend a Saturday with me.
I went to see what's been called the worst film ever shown in Chinese cinemas — NiuLai! But against all odds, it's become one of the most profitable movies(it even beat Spider Man)! Let's dig into the secret behind its bizarre success together. At the same time, I want to show you what a mall-life weekend looks like for me — a 40-year-old man, and what's so special about China's shopping malls that they've become one of the most popular places for Chinese people to spend their weekends.
Can't wait to see you all soooon~

JQ - Life in China
Hi, It's JQ~ I just uploaded this old video.
What's life really like for international students at Chinese universities?
I documented the lives of foreign students at Wuhan University, one of the most beautiful campuses in China.
In Part 1, we had an overly packed morning , Sargis has always been a free spirit, living beyond the rules, breaking rules.
Now we're in a rush to find a shared bike and get back to campus, because Sargis has a chess class at 11:30AM!
But , as we're racing against time, this free-spirited soul keeps getting distracted by all sorts of things along the way, doing whatever he feels like doing, still completely unbound by rules (in China).
The question is: as such a free soul , how is he treated here in China? And will he make it back to campus on time?

Haha, since a lot of you seem really interested in cat cafes in my latest video, I was chatting with Evatur in the comments about this alpaca cafe I went to back in 2020 in Shenzhen. I thought I'd share some photos. I was 34 back then~

JQ - Life in China
Hi, it's JQ. I've been working on the edit of a new video, and it'll be up on Thursday.
Remember the very first video I posted back in January? No friends around me, confused, lonely. Seven months later, I still haven't made any friends. But my mindset and my life have changed so much.
In this new video, I visit a cat café set in an old 1986 house, and cook a bit just to enjoy some peaceful moments. But more than that, I want to talk about what it's like making friends under the fast-paced culture of modern megacities in China - it's become increasingly superficial and shallow. And how my view on friendship has changed: From when I was a child, through all those ups and downs, to where I am now.
Can't wait to connect with you all again!

Today I tried ordering a coffee from Lucky Cup for the first time. This cup cost me $0.67 after using a coupon, delivered to my door. I didn't expect it to be this big...as tall as my laptop... It's insane, I'm not getting any sleep tonight. Haha.
Can you finish such a HUGE cup of strong coffee?

JQ - Life in China
Hi, Everyone~ It's JQ.
I'm almost done editing my new video! Should be able to upload it by Thursday.
I want to share what my late-night life looks like after a full day of freelance work, take you guys out to see what the neighbourhood looks like at 2 a.m.
Like my previous videos, wherever I go, I'll share people's lives, their stories, and mine too. I'll also show you some of the "useless" little things I bought recently, and given that my financial situation isn't great right now, the mindset and small ways I keep myself happy.
Can't wait to connect with all of you again!
