An evening where music, culture and the spirit of youth came together at Malhar, Connecting Youth and the Music of Monsoon, organised by AntarHriday Connect in collaboration with ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Bharat Ki Soch and Sawasdee Group.
It was a privilege to be present alongside Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP and former Foreign Secretary Dr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla, who is also the Chief Patron, along with my Parliamentary colleague Shri Kartikeya Sharma and Shri Amit Khare, Secretary to the Hon’ble Vice President.
The evening was a beautiful celebration of India’s rich classical traditions, with exceptional performances bringing the timeless spirit of the monsoon alive through music and dance.
Such platforms remind us that our cultural heritage is not merely something to preserve, it is something to experience, share and carry forward to the next generation.

It was a privilege to represent India at the Stortinget, the Norwegian Parliament, as part of the Indian Parliamentary Delegation Knowledge Exchange Tour. Parliamentary diplomacy occupies a distinctive place in the architecture of international relations, carrying with it the authentic voice of democratic mandates and the lived complexities of governance that executive channels alone cannot fully convey.
It was particularly meaningful to meet with Honourable Member of Parliament Himanshu Gulati, a parliamentarian whose principled and consistent commitment to India–Norway ties has made him a genuine bridge between two democracies that share a reverence for institutional integrity, sustainable development, and a belief in multilateralism as the foundation of a stable global order. Our exchange encompassed areas of mutual strategic interest legislative best practices, green economic transitions, maritime cooperation, and the architecture of bilateral partnerships built to endure beyond electoral cycles.
India's emergence as a confident, reform-driven democracy on the world stage demands that its Parliament be an active participant in shaping global norms, not merely a recipient of international engagement. Visits of this nature are, therefore, not ceremonial they are consequential.
