What would you do if the power went out, your water supply stopped, or you had to leave home in a hurry?
I am Ed, a firefighter with over 12 years of experience and the founder of Practical Preparedness Ltd. This channel is about helping you and your family prepare for everyday emergencies, without fear or making life unnecessarily complicated.
You will find practical advice on household plans, emergency supplies, grab bags and useful outdoor skills, alongside honest gear reviews. The focus is on simple steps you can take with the space, budget and equipment you already have.
Based in the UK, with advice you can adapt wherever you live.

Practical Preparedness Uk
It has been a while! My last video was back on 23 December 2023.
I enjoyed sharing my camping and hiking trips, but finding time to plan, film and edit videos around work and family became difficult, so YouTube took a back seat.
Since then, I have started my own business, Practical Preparedness, and I am bringing the channel back as Practical Preparedness UK.
I'll share ways to help you and your family prepare for things like power cuts, water supply problems, or having to leave home in a hurry. There will still be outdoor skills and gear along the way, with more focus on shorter videos that get straight to the point.
My older camping videos are back up too. Thank you to everyone who has stayed subscribed through the long break. I am looking forward to sharing more with you.

Thank you so much everyone for your support. I know for some creators 100 subs is nothing, but it means a lot to me.
