Conference of Chairpersons of Public Accounts Committees of Parliament of India and State/UT Legislatures

I am confident that these exchanges will further enrich our parliamentary partnership and add new vigour to the enduring friendship between our two nations.

We also recognised the India-UAE Parliamentary Friendship Group as an important bridge connecting parliamentarians of our two nations.

A commemorative group photograph with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and the Speakers of Parliaments and Parliamentary Delegations from BRICS Member & Partner Countries, at the inauguration of the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum 2026 in New Delhi today .
Addressed the inaugural session of the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum 2026 at the historic Samvidhan Sadan in the Parliament House Complex.
As BRICS marks two decades of its journey, it stands as a powerful testament to the potential of diverse nations to build consensus, strengthen mutual trust and advance shared global aspirations. Representing nearly half of the world’s population, BRICS offers an important platform for fostering democratic values and deepening parliamentary cooperation.
Under the theme “Fostering Parliaments for People-Centric Development,” the Forum provides an opportunity to reaffirm the central role of Parliaments in strengthening democratic institutions and addressing the pressing challenges of our time.
Our deliberations on Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability will explore pathways to make parliamentary institutions more effective, transparent, accountable and responsive to citizens.
Empowering youth, aligning aspirations with opportunities, balancing development with environmental sustainability, and amplifying the voice of the Global South must remain at the heart of our collective endeavours.
Confident that the Forum will deepen parliamentary partnerships, foster meaningful dialogue and advance our shared vision of a more just, inclusive, peaceful and sustainable world.
