Similar to the recent AYN Odin 3 PayPal sale, Retroid is now running a $30 off sale for the Retroid Pocket Classic and Retroid Pocket 5 handhelds. Use code $30OFF at checkout and use PayPal as your payment method.

The offer is limited in quantity (I've heard it's the first 400 sales), but it brings the RP Classic price down to $70, and the RP5 to $150 (prices before shipping).

If you're looking to pick up an Odin 3, AYN is running a unique sale right now. They have partnered with PayPal, and if you use that payment method (and use code SAVE$50 at checkout) you can get $50 off your order. Note that this is for the regular Odin 3 (not the recently launched Odin 3 Portal), you must use PayPal as the payment method, and it's limited to 600 redemptions total.

This brings the price down to $319 before shipping for the base model. Here is a recent video I made explaining why the Odin 3 is my most-used handheld: https://youtu.be/A3_r3tnbztA

There are a couple modest microSD card sales right now on Amazon (US), for Silicon Power cards. The 128GB card is $27, and a three-pack of 128GB cards is $55.

These are not top-tier cards, but they get decent reviews and I've never had issues with them. I like to use these cards for general storage (like on an Android device) but not for flashing an OS; I've read reports that the card can sometimes fail during flashing. If you are looking to flash an OS like ROCKNIX or Armada, I generally recommend a more reputable brand like SanDisk or Samsung (and A2 cards if you can afford it).

Also of note, the 512GB Samsung P9 microSD Express that I shared last week is still on sale for $99 (regularly $150). This card works in the Switch 2 (and other devices too).

I’m always on the hunt for microSD or other storage deals on Amazon, and as of this writing, there are a few decent options:

Lexar has a modest $5 discount on their 64GB microSD card three-pack, bringing the total down to $45. I’ve been using a lot more 64GB cards recently for my handhelds (when previously 128GB was my standard); reducing my game libraries has been a satisfying and liberating experience, since I now spend more time playing than browsing.

Samsung’s 256GB P9 microSD Express card is 25% off, coming in at $60 (instead of its $80 retail). This is that newer generation of fast card that works in the Switch 2 and the Xbox Ally X20. The price here is decent — standard 256GB (non-Express) cards from reputable brands are usually about $60-$65 right now anyway, despite being slower. This Samsung P9 card is also backwards compatible with non-microSD Express readers, but at a slower UHS-I speed.

The 512GB Samsung P9 microSD Express is also on sale for $99, that's a 33% discount over its $150 retail price..

Lexar’s 64GB dual USB flash drive is currently $20, just a couple dollars discounted from its retail price. These are handy to have around if you plan on flashing a custom OS like Bazzite or even official SteamOS onto an X86 handheld, and the USB A/C swivel means you don’t have to hunt down an adapter at the same time. I also have one to store a modest ROM collection so that I can easily transfer files over to my handhelds with smaller libraries.

By the way, I post about deals like this every week in my newsletter. Every issue is a roundup of videos, news, deals, and the games I've been playing. You can read it on the web, or have it delivered via email or RSS: news.retrogamecorps.com/

The Anbernic RG DDS is now up for pre-order. Shipping doesn't start until December, and there will be a $15 pre-order discount until then. I'm hoping to get a review unit well before that shipping time.

This is priced high, as it appears to be Anbernic's flagship product due to its Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 processor. Here is the pricing (before shipping):

8GB/128GB model: $285 ($299 retail)
12GB/256GB model: $350 ($365 retail)

Friendly reminder that Retroid is running a clearance sale on the Retroid Pocket 5 until it runs out of stock and is discontinued. $180 (+ shipping) for a SD865 handheld with 1080p OLED is still a great deal, even if it's a generation old at this point.

Here's my review of it (from a couple years ago). You can expect it to play the majority of GC/PS2 games upscaled, and some lite Switch and PC games too: https://youtu.be/ZFTrwWQOe5Y

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days are this week (October 6th and 7th) in the US, here is a roundup of some deals that I found. There are some decent microSD card prices considering current memory shortages, and I found the biggest discounts are when you buy packs of multiple cards.

I've added an asterisk next so what I consider some of the more decent sales. Please note that the links below are affiliate links; any income I get from this will be used for upkeep of my site or the channel. Thanks for the support!
