Hey! Welcome to my channel, I'm Chris. I spend my evenings with the questions physics hasn't closed, and here I talk them through so you can drift off along the way.
Midnight Theorems makes long documentaries on the strangest serious ideas in physics, mathematics and consciousness: whether time is real, what the equations allow before the beginning, where a mind actually is.
Every theory comes from published research, and I always say how far the evidence goes. Three hours or more, made for the end of the day.

Here’s a thought experiment to sit with tonight.🌙
Imagine a machine creates a perfect copy of you, including every memory, habit, and detail of your personality.
You stay exactly where you are. The copy wakes up in another room, remembering your entire life as its own.
From that moment on, you begin having different experiences.
Would you consider that person another version of you, or someone entirely new who happens to share your past?
I’m curious where you draw the line. What makes you “you”: your memories, your body, or the continuous experience of living?

Would you even be able to tell if you were moving at all?
Physics has some fascinating things to say about motion, time, and what we can actually know about the universe.
