Thank you all for 2,000 subscribers! I don't do this for the numbers, but I do appreciate anyone who takes the time to watch and enjoy any of my videos, even with my infrequent and inconsistent pace! I'll keep going, at my own pace, to make clips that share my love of VTubers!

Been in a bit of a rut with video making lately. I have plenty of ideas, but half way through making, my motivation and focus just tanks. I have a handful of unfinished videos due to this.

That said, I just dropped a new video that I started and finished today, powered by the happiness of knowing Calli is feeling good about herself lately. The power of one's oshi, huh?

We have new Hololive debuts in ASOBI★MAWARI-TAI! How did you guys enjoy the debuts and who's your favorite? They're all great, but far and away it's Hyakuto Kyoko for me. She's loud, her energy is incredible, she's loud, her English is phenomenal, she's loud, she's funny, I love her aesthetics and she's LOUD! She makes me smile a lot already! Ina had a lot to say about the Hololive merger, giving some insight and clarity about what it could mean going forward and how she's willing to speak up when her word is needed.

I have a Gigi Senran Kagura compilation in the works. It's pretty long so far, so likely going to split it into two parts for her four streams. Full disclosure though, I haven't touched it in a week, because I'm addicted to Holodori (hoping to pull Summer Noel!). Whenever that calms down I'll get back to work on that lmao. Hope you guys are taking it easy and enjoying Holodori. What cool pulls have you gotten? Also one of my favorite things about Holodori is getting to hear great music I wasn't aware of or slipped past the radar, like ID Gen 2's "Slap by Step".

It seems YouTube is opting ALL YouTube Shorts into their new generative AI BS that I don't have any choice of not being apart of. At this point, I only choose to make a Short if the clip I want to make is under 3 minutes or so, but this really makes me not want to make Shorts ever again. If you see any AI remixing of my YouTube Shorts (or anything I make for that matter), I did not approve of or endorse any of that. As usual, if you see anything that doesn't look right or any general feedback, feel free to call it out or let me know.

Calli had her return stream from her break, discussing why she went on break in the first place. I was heavily considering clipping it, because I feel like it's a discussion I think people should see, but I've ultimately decided for a few reasons not to. I don't want to leave out what I feel is necessary context and the entire discussion, both on her frustrations and how she's feeling positively about things, is too important to leave out. But if I included everything I'd have a way too long, mostly unedited clip, and at that point you should just watch the original stream.

Would people enjoy a generally unfocused compilation of Koyori humming/singing along to Ocarina of Time's music, plus some funny/cute moments here and there? I sure hope so, because that's what I'm steadily working on. I've been wanting to clip more JP members, but my limited Japanese means there's not much I can do too easily. Even if there's not much translated speaking, I hope it's still enjoyable. I've really been enjoying Koyori's playthrough of OoT so I thought it'd be fun to do a little something as a work through the VODs. Life has kept me busy so I've very little time for making clips.

Also, since yet another graduation has been announced, it always makes me want to make more clips. I'm not deluded into thinking I have some grand position in the fandom, but I'd hope that this humble channel's clips can cheer even a few people up, even a little bit, as this sort of graduation period has people feeling down. Of course, I hope everyone supports Kanata this month! I admittedly haven't watched her too much, but she's great and her singing is fantastic, she's definitely going to be missed!

Recently discovered a new issue on YouTube that many people's videos are being hidden via YouTube's "Restricted Mode", and it seems like some of mine have been affected too. For one example in the past two months, I've made three clips of Nimi Nightmare, none of them appear in Restricted Mode. Didn't know Restricted Mode even existed, wouldn't have checked if I didn't see so many people speaking up about it. I don't upload on a schedule or even particularly frequently since I've been busy, but it's annoying to think that the few times I do just won't get seen by people. I don't do this for the views, but I make a video so people see it, so I still want people to see it lmao. Please check if you have Restricted Mode on or off, make sure it's off, then double check your favorite YouTubers to see if you may have missed some of their videos. (Click your profile picture in the top right, then look towards the bottom of the drop down menu, make sure it says "Restricted Mode: Off")

Also got a notice YT's dumb auto-dubbing feature may be on my videos. Since my extremely limited Japanese means I won't be clipping many JP VTubers in fear of mistranslating them (unless I really want to clip something and think I can do a decent job), this might not be too much of an issue, but it's still an obnoxious feature. I turned it off by default so hopefully it won't be an issue, but please let me know if it shows up somehow and I'll do my best to get rid of it. And on the note of getting rid of things, please also let me know if you get mid-roll ads on any of my videos. Ads are intrusive enough as it is, I never want some random ad to break the flow of a video. I always turn those off, but who knows what YouTube decides to do on its own. I also heard it's using AI filters on thumbnails without telling or prompting people. This site is so frustrating sometimes.

There's also a Hype feature? No idea if it even does anything. I'll leave it be I guess but please let me know if it's obnoxious, I think I can uncheck that one too.

Sorry for the random rant, just want to make sure my videos are being seen and are being enjoyed. Mint clip coming whenever it gets done, hopefully sometime this week. I hope everyone has been doing well, thanks for reading.
