Thanks to everyone who came to see Godfall Protocol at today's Hoyofair! Was a little worried after the negativity around the trailer but the response to the full video release has been good so far!
Real talk, it’s a small miracle that Godfall’s production went as smoothly as it did. The last time we animated an action short close to this scale (cough titanfall cough) we had to cut so many corners and delay the release by a month past the Hoyofair air date.
When we started production in April I was really not expecting to make it in time for the September broadcast but we somehow pulled through and put out what I think is our most visually impressive work yet.
The team has put out their best work in the making of this time’s animated short, and I’m grateful to all of them for their combined efforts over the past half year. I've linked all the incredible artists involved in this time's work in the video description, please check their other work out!

Check out the choir composition arranged by voice actress PearlVox, the voice of Columbina from this time’s short! By recording a few singers’ voices multiple times and layering them, we were able to create a full “choir” effect.
Now would probably be a good time to announce we're looking to recruit more members to the team!

We took a huge risk switching to a genre that doesn't typically gel too well with animation as a medium, and I'm glad you've all enjoyed it thus far. Here's the character models for Columbina and Dottore we used for the short, it was super fun tinkering with the animation effects in emulating the VHS horror style.
