OFFICIAL HSS PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
I’ve put out courses that nobody signed up for. I’ve offered one-on-one sessions, and a handful of people took me up on them. I’ve even made content completely free to try to help, but here’s the reality: free does not pay the bills, and it does not account for the hours that go into creating, testing, and refining what I share.
Then the moment I try to introduce something that helps sustain this, whether it is a paid offer or a sponsored segment, there is pushback.
Let’s be honest. Every creator you watch is balancing the same equation: how to keep providing value while making it sustainable enough to continue. Without sustainability, the content stops. Period.
Companies approach me for sponsored spots because they see value in the audience and the content I have built. That is not selling out. That is the ecosystem working the same way it does for every channel, platform, and media outlet you already consume.
Here is the bigger question: do you really think celebrities who endorse products use every single thing they promote? Of course not. Yet people do not line up to call them out or threaten to walk away over it. It is understood as part of the business.
What I am doing is no different, except I have already gone out of my way to give as much as I can for free first.
If you have ever gotten value from what I have shared, that is the exchange. I give, you take what helps, and when I include something that supports the channel, that is part of keeping this going.
At the end of the day, I am not here just to create. I am here to keep creating, and that only happens if it is sustainable.
Some of you have taken the time to get to know me. You know that I give far more than I ask for. You have seen the years I have invested in creating tutorials to help people without asking for much in return. I have never tried to be a pushy salesperson or a hard sell marketer. There are also opportunities I have turned down, not because they would not have benefited me, but because they would not have benefited you.
AI is the future, whether we admit it or not. Not everything about AI is welcomed, and I understand that. However, like any major shift in technology, there has always been resistance.
Likewise, there have also always been people willing to explore it, push its limits, and discover something new and valuable that eventually becomes part of everyday life.
