Good morning Beauties 🩵 Do you know what a scalp scan can help you see that you normally can't?

So… I tried to do ONE little decluttering job and somehow created an entire home organisation project 😭
You know when you start with “I’m just going to get rid of a few things” and suddenly you’ve emptied drawers, moved things around, found stuff you forgot you owned and created three new piles that now need to be dealt with? 😂
That was me.
I started with the little room and somehow ended up going through all the random things that had accumulated, games, cables, beauty bits, bags, miscellaneous “I’ll deal with this later” objects… aka the stuff that somehow multiplies when you’re not looking.
It took 1.5 hours just to get through one part, but honestly, seeing the floor and surfaces clear again made it SO worth it. ✨
Now I’m debating whether to continue while I’m in this productive mood or pretend I never started… 😂
Please tell me I’m not the only one whose “quick tidy” turns into a full-blown decluttering mission?!

Okay… this was NOT what I expected to see after washing my hair the day before 👀🔬
I recently got a scalp scan and it was such a reality check because sometimes your scalp can feel clean without necessarily looking that way up close. Seeing all the buildup under magnification made me realize how much we simply can’t see when we’re looking at our scalp in the mirror.
What I found especially interesting, though, was the comparison with my previous scan. Even though there was still quite a bit going on, my scalp looked less red and irritated this time, which feels like a pretty good sign considering how sensitive my scalp has been.
It also made me think about how easy it is to immediately reach for stronger shampoos, scrubs or treatments when something feels off, when sometimes the better approach might simply be understanding what’s actually happening first.
Now I’m VERY curious… do you think your scalp would surprise you if you saw it under a microscope? 😂

Entering my STRONG girl era… slowly 😂🫶🏼
I’ve been craving that feeling of being genuinely strong again, not just looking fit, but feeling capable, stable and comfortable in my body. So I’m getting back into Pilates/reformer and honestly… my body is making it VERY clear that we’re starting from somewhere 😂
There’s something humbling about returning to a workout after some time away. You remember what you used to be able to do, and then suddenly the smallest movement has you questioning every life decision 😭
But I actually love that Pilates makes me focus on control, strength and those tiny muscles you forget exist. I’m not looking to destroy myself every workout, I want to build consistency and eventually get to that “wow, I feel STRONG” feeling again.
Also… getting a proper night of sleep beforehand apparently makes a MASSIVE difference. Who knew?! 😂
Are you more motivated by wanting to LOOK fit or FEEL strong? Lmk in the comments 👇🏼💬

Ready to level up your routine and get that glow? 🌟 Skincare isn't just about what you put on your face, but also about how and when you apply it. Combining ingredients is like chemistry for your skin, some pairings create magic, while others can cause reaction roadblocks! 🧪
Let's break down how to get the most out of these potent powerhouses.
✨ Retinoids + Exfoliating Acids (AHA/BHA): A Delicate Dance
👉🏼 Why wait? Both retinoids and chemical exfoliants encourage skin cell turnover. Using them at the same time can lead to a "double exfoliation" effect, resulting in inflammation, flaking, and a damaged skin barrier.
👉🏼 The alternative: Implement a "skin cycling" routine. For instance, apply your exfoliating toner one night, use your retinoid serum the next night, and then focus on intense hydration for a couple of nights before restarting the cycle. This strategy maximizes the unique benefits of each without overwhelming your precious skin.
🍊The Ultimate Morning Shield: Vitamin C + Sunscreen
👉🏼 Beyond the basic glow: Did you know Vitamin C doesn't just brighten? It acts like a "power booster" for your sunscreen. While SPF is your primary guard against sunburn and DNA damage, Vitamin C combats free radicals (damage from environmental factors like pollution and infrared light) that your sunscreen might not catch. It’s the ultimate 1-2 punch for prevention and protection. Apply Vit C on clean skin, then seal the deal with your favourite high-SPF.
⚡️ Fighting Stubborn Acne: BP & The Retinoid Connection
👉🏼 Stability is key: This one is tricky! Some formulations are made to play nice. The classic, prescription-only Epiduo combines Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide in one synergistic formula.
👉🏼 Why they don't always mix: A common mistake is layer traditional retinoids (like OTC retinol creams) directly with leave-on Benzoyl Peroxide products (like gels or lotions). Benzoyl Peroxide is an oxidant, which can "oxidize" or break down many forms of retinoids, rendering them less effective.
👉🏼 The solution for OTC users: Utilize your Benzoyl Peroxide in the wash-off step (like a cleanser) in the morning or separate evenings, and reserve your retinoid serum or cream for a clean face on nights you aren't using other potent treatments.
By being mindful of these combinations, you're not just creating a routine. You're crafting a targeted strategy for healthier, happier skin.

LATE SUMMER MORNINGS IN CPH 🩵
There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to slow everything down a little. The mornings are still light, but there’s already that subtle feeling that summer is starting to shift.
I’m also fully embracing the “get dressed nicely even if I’m just running errands” era 😂 A soft knit, a long skirt and coffee in hand is basically my late-summer uniform.
And yes… the 6am sweat is still very much part of the experience 🥲✨
What I love most about this season is that little in-between moment - not quite summer, not quite autumn. Warm enough for bare legs, cool enough for a sweater.

SKINCARE DOESN’T ONLY HAPPEN IN YOUR BATHROOM…
I’ve been thinking more about the connection between what we eat and how our skin looks and functions and sardines are such an underrated little skin-supporting food.
They’re naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for maintaining the skin barrier and supporting a healthy inflammatory response. They also provide high-quality protein, giving your body the amino acids it needs for things like collagen and tissue repair.
And then there’s the micronutrient side: vitamin B12, selenium and vitamin D all play different roles in normal cell function and antioxidant protection.
Obviously, one food isn’t going to magically transform your skin overnight 😂 But I love the idea of looking at skincare more holistically: SPF + a good routine + sleep + nutrition + lifestyle all contribute to the bigger picture.
And honestly… sardines with lemon, red onion, capers and lots of lemon zest? SO much better than they get credit for. 🍋🐟
Would you eat sardines for the potential skin benefits or are you strictly sticking to topical skincare? 👀
