Mortgage rates are on the rise again!

According to Mortgage News Daily, the average 30-year fixed rate hit 7.50% today. That’s the highest in nearly 2½ years!

However, I’m still seeing Sacramento-area home builders running rate promotions below 5% for a 30yr fixed mortgage so, this could be a substantial savings when compared to buying an older/existing home.

Many builders are also offering incentives toward closing costs as well.
