I don't normally keep up with internet gun community drama, but this one actually hits home. For those not keeping up, this asshat (Chad) "Poly Ammoist" has a history of going around the internet essentially picking internet fights with anyone with a name in the industry. I guess it's his need for attention. Recently, some of the people involved are @FocusTripp and @BenStoeger187 . I happen to know Poly Ammoist, and am friends with others that know him. We've all shot together and live in the same basic area.
What Poly Ammoist does is pick fights with people who are smarter and more skilled than him (which is a low bar). Stirs up drama. And then blocks them. He freaked out on me once just because I disagreed with him about the RXM. A pistol I don't particularly care for. The cliff notes version of his response before he blocked me is that I don't know what I'm doing, I'm a small channel that nobody has ever heard of (not sure why that would matter) and I review products that nobody has every heard of. Which that last one is objectively false.
Here is the truth about this asshole. His ego (if you couldn't tell) is about as big as one can have. He doesn't know what he's doing and is an objectively a bad shooter who knows nothing of tactics, proper fundamentals, or competitive shooting. Competitive shooters seeming to be who he has turned his negative attention towards recently. He also failed as an instructor. Which was laughable when he tried a few years ago. He's the living breathing definition of a bridge troll, in both attitude and stature.
I had honestly forgotten he even existed until he started recently picking fights with more well known shooters and his name came back up. This will be the last bit of attention I'll be giving this idiot. But of all the people talking smack about him online who don't know him...As someone who does (did) know him...they're all basically right.
