I'm running some A/B Testing on a couple of criminally underviewed videos and when I asked my VidIQ plugin and YT Studio for some suggestions on how to revamp the thumbnails they gave me some eyebrow raising results (which I did/will not use). Thought I'd share some of the cringiest:
1. Got the 'Mr. Beast' treatment
2. Emma looks good but I look creepy AF
3. Oh my god the uncanny valley smile and overfiltered face!
4. I actually think this was the best of the lot even though I HAVE NO THUMBNAIL, I might copy this pose for my personal thumbnail stock.
Which one is your favourite? Let me know in the comments!

Hi All, just a quick note to say I need to cancel tonight's stream. We've had to transition the toddler from a crib to a bed and as a result bedtime has become very difficult with the introduction of the freedom to get out of bed, walk to the door and cry for 'Mummy!'. So can't guarantee I'll be available on time to play. Hoping we'll be back on schedule soon (both for my sanity's sake and your entertainment)

Tomorrow we dig into the latest claims that the tomb (and possibly mummy and treasures) of Queen Nefertiti is hidden behind the north wall of the burial chamber of King Tutankhamun's tomb. Join me as I break down the theory, who it might belong to, and the latest geophysical data that has blown the dust off one of archaeology's greatest modern debates. See you in the live chat or the gaming stream after!

Hi All. Just a quick note to say there's no Assassins Creed stream tonight. Everything is fine but the toddler was up in the middle of the night and I am, as the Brits say, knackered. Next stream will be the premiere this upcoming weekend. Have a good week and see you then!

Yesterday this channel hit the 100K subscribers mark. Wow, you guys, this was my goal for the END of 2026, to hit it 3 months early is amazing! I think it's rather fitting that next week I will be going on my first dig in a wee while with @Digventures , a social enterprise organising crowdfunded archaeological excavation experiences. I'm going to be filming my time there digging and (weather and site depending) potentially filming my August discoveries video IN THE FIELD, how cool will that be? When I'm back I'll set up a 100K celebration stream so keep your eyes peeled for that. What kind of field content you would be interested in: a vlog? Interviews? Timelapses? Trowel shots? Let me know your ideas in the comments. Bonus pic of me as a baby archaeologist on a mock dig at undergrad unaware of where this career would take me!
