N.I.N.E stands for the 'Northern Ireland Network Enhancement' scheme. A railway expansion plan that was put forward in 2008 by Dublin based independent transport researcher, Brian Guckian.
With this channel we want to provide the people of Northern Ireland and beyond with educational and informational videos oriented around the past, present & future railway network of Northern Ireland.
We are also currently campaigning for the reopening of the Knockmore line connecting Antrim to Lisburn via Crumlin. Sign the petition below!

Christmas is upon us and we have seen the achivement of what most though was impossible. The Knockmore Line is now officially in the works with Translink.
Now we must move swiftly and decisively into 2026 to ensure that the reinstatement of passenger rail services between Antrim and Lisburn are for the people of South Antrim primarily, whilst also being delivered before FTN's desired deadline of 2030.
Merry Christmas, and may God provide Ulster a New Year full of railway prosperity!

Hello everyone!
I know it has been a long, grueling hiatus for FundTheNINE, but I have good reason for it.
Since the start of 2025, I have been struggling with my mental health, among other issues in my daily life. But after a long time getting myself together and seeking professional help, I am feeling much better.
Whilst I do not have a timeframe (yet) for any future content, please be at ease knowing the ball is rolling again!
Thank you for the patience that you all have had through 2025, and remember, if you struggle with your mental health, reach out to a professional or somebody you trust, it will be the best decision you could possibly make.
