something I’ve came to realize is editing is so unenjoyable when you are the biggest critic of your edits and hate everything you make.

Idk if anyone else relates to this but I’m constantly deleting edits because I see every little flaw and what I could’ve done better, like I know that’s what your suppose to do to improve, but I’m talking about to the point where it become a little obsessive.

editing should be a fun experience where you are able to create anything you like, even it doesn’t fit into the “tiktok style” category. Editing is a way to express yourself and your ideas and it sucks that sometimes editors hold themselves to such high standards.

I’ve gotten better at this, and I genuinely enjoy editing now but at one point I would literally go weeks without editing because I literally felt as if nothing I made was worthy to post because I would compare my edits to other people’s edits.
