AI for lawyers, explained by a lawyer.
I'm Jennifer Case, a California-licensed attorney and founder of Law Tech AI.
I help small and mid-sized law firms figure out where AI actually makes sense, how to put it to work, and what to watch out for along the way.
On this channel, I talk lawyer to lawyer about what's happening with AI in legal practice.
You'll find:
• AI tools I'm testing and what they mean for your firm
• Legal AI news and developments worth paying attention to
• Client confidentiality, ethics, and professional responsibility
• Practical AI workflows, automation, and training for law firms
• Lessons from my webinars and work with attorneys
I'm interested in what works, what doesn't, and what law firms should think through before adopting something new.
Whether you're just getting started or already using AI, I want you to leave with something useful.

A fake CEO called. Then a fake lawyer sent the wire instructions.
Federal prosecutors allege that an AI impersonation scheme
defrauded companies of more than $129 million.
The second impersonation helped sell the first.
Employees thought a lawyer at a major firm was
backing up the CEO’s request.
Before sending a wire,
verify the instructions using a phone number you already trust.
Does your firm require that callback?
Comment YES or NO.

Who’s responsible for keeping your firm’s AI policy current?
26 attorneys general urged Congress to regulate
advanced AI while preserving states’ power to regulate it too.
The letter itself creates no new legal duties.
What caught my attention is the push for
federal oversight alongside state authority.
For law firms, my takeaway is practical:
assign someone to revisit approved tools, data access,
and attorney review requirements as the rules change.
Who owns that process at your firm
a partner, IT, a committee, or someone else?

An AI error made it into a filing. Who handles what happens next?
A federal judge was removed from a case after serious errors appeared in
his orders-including a citation to a case that didn’t exist.
He later said a law clerk had used AI to help draft an earlier version.
Here’s what I’d tell law firms:
Your AI policy needs a plan for errors discovered AFTER filing.
Who checks the other citations?
Who handles the correction?
Does your firm have a written plan?
YES or NO?
Tell me in the comments.
