Majesty of Reason

Before my conversion, I wrote the afterword to this new book in which theists and non-theists cordially argue their case. Check it out!!! Until the end of September, you can purchase the book for 40% off through Eerdmans.com. Just use code DEBATE40 at checkout.

And, needless to say, there may be some points or recommendations in the afterword with which I no longer agree😆

Majesty of Reason

Hey all!

Just a quick post to ask for a little patience at the moment! With the semester starting, I’ve got a lot on my plate — teaching, refereeing papers, conference presentations, an article deadline, hundreds of emails and messages in the backlog, and various personal, social, and spiritual commitments.

So things will be a bit slower for a while, including on the video front. But don’t worry! I still have some videos planned, and things will pick back up in due course. I also fully intend to *eventually* respond to some of the public replies to my conversion videos (including ones that will be posted later). But that's some point in the future. For the time being, please bear with me 😁❤️‍🔥

I’m very grateful for all your prayers, and know that I’m praying for you too!!!

Blessings,

Joe

❤️‍🔥HUGE UPDATE❤️‍🔥

My comprehensive case for Catholicism turned out to be 25 hours long — much longer than YouTube’s limit. So, good news: you’re now getting THREE VIDEOS!

Video #1 (tomorrow): My philosophical case for theism

Video #2 (Thursday): My case for the miracles (especially Catholic vindicatory miracles)

Video #3 (Friday): Critique of non-Catholic explanations of the miracles + responding to all the best objections to Catholicism + the existential side

STEP 1: Read Matthew 25:31-46, in the pictures.

STEP 2: Please consider giving some money today to charities that are super effective in saving lives. I STRONGLY recommend this one: www.againstmalaria.com/Default.aspx

EVERYONE, please pray intensely for Derek Lambert’s (‪@MythVisionPodcast‬) mother in law, who is suffering from stage 4 cancer and has 2 months to live. Pick up those rosaries, offer up those desserts or breakfasts, do what you can to spiritually help!!!❤️‍🔥

UPDATE: My comprehensive case video will be longer than expected. As a result, it will NOT be posted Monday. It will probably be posted on Tuesday or Wednesday. I want it to be a one-stop shop you can send anyone (more accurately: anyone analytically inclined). Quality takes time. Bear with me. God is good. Prayers appreciated!

Majesty of Reason

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
