Mirror Edge Networks is also a Bang & Olufsen installation and service company. With Morgan's extensive Bang & Olufsen knowledge dating back to his retail sales experience as a Bang & Olufsen store manager in Cape Town in 2007. Morgan has over 16 years of Bang & Olufsen installation, service and sales experience.

What would you plan first in a three-storey home: Wi-Fi, television distribution or music?
For this Bantry Bay renovation, we considered all three together. The installation includes five Wi-Fi access points, Sonos in several rooms and an existing Bang & Olufsen music system retained in the main living area.

A cinema that doesn’t always look like a cinema.
In this Oranjezicht room, the bar is visible for entertaining. For film viewing, the blinds close and a concealed projector moves into place. Mirror Edge designed the room in association with Sphere Custom Design and installed the AV system.

This is why we like getting involved before a home cinema room is finished.
For this Durbanville build, we planned the screen, speaker positions, cabling and lighting while the house was still under construction. The completed room features a floating 120-inch screen and a rear-wall lighting design with more than 30 individual fittings.

The most important room in a smart home is often the one nobody sees.
In this five-storey Camps Bay home, we rebuilt the technical centre of the Control4 system. Network, audio, video and security equipment were organised across three racks, with cabling arranged so connections could be identified and serviced.
A tidy rack makes a good photograph. A rack that someone can understand and maintain years later is the real achievement.

A look back at our Constantia Dolby Atmos Installation.
This lounge was transformed into a high-performance audio/video entertainment space featuring Wisdom Audio speakers, Dolby Atmos, Anthem processing, Samsung QLED UHD video, and simple Crestron remote control.
The system included Wisdom Audio L8i front speakers, Wisdom Audio P2i centre and surround speakers, a Wisdom Audio S55i in-ceiling subwoofer, and in-ceiling Atmos speakers.
We also upgraded the cabling, moved the electronics into a dedicated equipment rack, and improved the home network and WiFi to support streaming and reliable everyday use.
The result was a refined Constantia lounge with powerful, detailed sound and an easy-to-use entertainment system.

A look at a reference-level Wisdom Audio Dolby Atmos Home Cinema featured on our portfolio.
This dedicated cinema room is configured as an 11.3.6 Dolby Atmos system, using Wisdom Audio speakers throughout the room.
The system includes Wisdom Audio Sage Cinema Series 3 speakers for the front LCR channels, Wisdom Audio L8i line-source speakers for the surrounds, IC7a Atmos speakers overhead, and three Wisdom Audio STS subwoofers for deep, powerful bass.
Processing is handled by a StormAudio ISP 32, while the video system uses a JVC NZ9 laser projector and a 5 m wide acoustically transparent projection screen.
The demonstration included scenes from Top Gun: Maverick and Bohemian Rhapsody, both of which showed the scale, dynamics and immersion that a properly designed home cinema can deliver.
A serious cinema room, and a great example of what is possible when high-performance audio, video and calibration come together.

A look back at our visit to the M&K Sound 300 Series demonstration cinema at Seriously Cinema in London.
This room was designed to showcase the performance of M&K’s 300 Series speakers in a full immersive home cinema environment.
The system features a 7.6.8 Dolby Atmos / DTS:X hybrid layout, with M&K 300 Series speakers throughout, six C15s subwoofers, and processing by a Trinnov Altitude 32.
The experience was incredibly impressive — powerful, precise and fully immersive. The bass had real physical impact, but remained controlled and accurate, while the surround field felt seamless and difficult to localise.
This is what a properly designed and calibrated reference home cinema can achieve.

A look at our Camps Bay Media Room project.
This room was designed for a turnkey rental property, where ease of use and reliability were just as important as the audio/video performance.
We built a clean front screen wall to hide the electronics, network switch, WiFi hardware and cabling, keeping the room neat and simple to use.
The system includes a Samsung 85″ UHD TV, Sonos Arc Dolby Atmos soundbar, and rear Sonos One SL surround speakers for a relaxed, immersive entertainment experience.
With comfortable Weylandts seating, soft carpet, a confectionery stand and popcorn machine, the room is set up for movies, sport, series and everyday entertainment.

A look back at our Stellenbosch Home Cinema Upgrade.
Mirror Edge Networks was appointed to upgrade this existing cinema room, taking the project from the original room condition, through the strip-out stage, and into the completed home cinema.
We worked alongside Sphere Custom Design on the design, build and installation of the room, with the aim of creating a more comfortable, refined and enjoyable cinema environment for the client.
This project is a great reminder that a home cinema does not always need to start as a blank canvas. With the right design approach, an existing room can be upgraded into a dedicated entertainment space that feels completely renewed.

A closer look at one of our completed Oranjezicht home cinema installations in Cape Town.
This room was designed as a luxury entertainment space rather than a traditional dedicated cinema, combining interior design, lighting, acoustic treatment and carefully integrated technology.
The system features Wisdom Audio speakers, an Anthem MRX1140 AVR, Samsung ultra-short-throw projection, a motorised projector drawer mechanism, and Control4 for simple control of the cinema experience.
The goal was to create a room that feels comfortable and elegant for everyday use, while still delivering a proper cinematic experience when it is time to watch a movie, series or live sport.
