Braces can straighten teeth, but simply moving teeth into alignment doesn’t always address the underlying factors that contributed to crowding in the first place.
I’m researching the idea of creating more oral space through changes in vertical dimension and reducing excessive tension around the jaw. The key premise is that tooth position is influenced by the environment around the teeth and the overall biomechanical state of the system — and that this environment may be influenced by improving the underlying biomechanics.

I believe posture is a direct reflection of the soft tissue state. If the soft tissues are restricted, if they're stiff and fascia is dehydrated, bone structure is going to be restricted as well and it's going to be restricted in all planes. This shows best on the skull mechanics, however, my journey revealed that body changes as a whole and that in the process body could remodel as well. ❤️🩹
Are you using a flat mouthguard yet? If yes, what changes have you noticed?
Soft tissues scover the bone and determine its position. I believe the tense tissue collapses the structure over time, while relaxed tissue allows the correction of the structure to take place which seems to manifest as expansion and projection, from my experience.
This is one of those transformations where the difference becomes much easier to see once you stop looking at individual features and start looking at the relationships between them.
1. Notice how the ramus has changed in its frontal orientation, going from a more medially inclined, inward-converging appearance to a more vertically oriented position.
2. The entire midface also appears more open and horizontally developed, while the lower face becomes more balanced in relation to it.
3. The proportions and spatial relationships of the midface, maxilla, mandible, and ramus have changed as an interconnected system. This is exactly why I don't like reducing facial development to isolated features. Although it is possible to pinpoint a few specific changes in each case, the overall result often can't be broken down into separate pieces by observing each individual bone.
Ethan's transformation is a great example of why I became so interested in studying facial biomechanics as a whole rather than chasing individual aesthetic features. Again, I do believe it is possible to change a specific feature, but I believe it should happen within a broader process of optimizing the entire structure.
Normalized invasive ways of treating the human body made us insensitive to the delicate system that's within. I believe body can and often does self-correct when we allow it to- all those ways in which we can assist body to do what it's able to do have been the primary focus of my research. There's many ways I've came across that work with, instead of against the body wisdom, but here's one method that was crucial in my journey and the journeys of my clients.

I started breaking the stigma around changing adult facial structure naturally, but you’re the ones who broke it completely.
Your faith in my work, willingness to share your results and your courage to put share your results have created a snowball effect inspiring more and more people to believe that change is possible and to begin this life changing journey themselves. ☺️
Your bite is more than just your teeth, it serves as the foundations of your body's alignment and, in my opinion, health.
My experience has been that wearing a flat mouthguard helps improve jaw position, reduce unnecessary muscle tension, support healthier breathing and swallowing patterns, and influence posture throughout the body.
Small changes at the mouth can create noticeable changes from head to toe. The mouth is where the chain begins. The rest of the body follows.
Most people think posture and facial structure should be treated as separate problems, but I don't.
I view the body as an interconnected mechanical system, where tension in one region can influence the rest. One model often used to describe this is tensegrity- a structure where changing one element redistributes forces throughout the entire system.
That idea became the foundation of my own journey.
