September is here, I am back from my travels and the channel is getting a bit more content.
Our Forbidden Lands Bloodmarch campaign has reached the end of its first extended story arc with an impactful decision and we will return to that in the future. For a change of setting and pace, I will be running a Call of Cthulhu campaign called "Call of the Sea".

A few words about that:
- You may know this as a lovely game on Steam, and indeed it takes that very same story, reframes and reshapes it and adds a lot of twists and turns. So, even if you know the PC game, that does not map directly onto our campaign.

- Secondly, we are playing using the PDF copy I got as a backer of the project. The publishers are currently past their April 26 deadline to get the physical product out to backers with an unfortunate lack of communication around it. However, what they have delivered so far is playable and hence we are giving it a go. It's not meant to turn the comments into an aggro-agora.

Finally, it's my first time running CoC and we also will be using a different platform, namely ‪@alchemyrpg‬ .

So, first session is on the 24th of September on twitch and soon after on here. Drop by if you fancy!

I will be going to this year's UK Games Expo, which celebrates its 20th Anniversary and is just about 3 weeks away. Lots of prep still to do, resources to prepare. I will be running Hexxen 1733, Alien 2e, Dragonbane and The One Ring.

Happy New Year to all! I hope you had a good 2024 and wish you all the best for an even better 2025.

It's also been quite a year on the channel with various highlights. What will next year bring? I have not got a strategic long term plan, but here are some things I look forward to -

- Icewind Bane: our Icewind Dale + Dragonbane crossover will move from Act 1 to Act 2 soon. There will be some character advancement and the story will progress, now that the party have got their bearings to an extent.

- Weirdhammer: our Shadow of the Weird Wizard and Warhammer crossover is just getting underway. It'll be nice to play in it rather than running it!

- Games coming out - Blade Runner: Replicant Rebellion, Tales of the Old West, Trail of Cthulhu 2, Coriolis The Great Dark, Hexxen 1733 in English, Kids in Capes, Vaesen's Carpathia Book ... there is plenty in the pipeline to be curious about. Maybe the They Came From Anthology will finally deliver as well.


- RPG Tools and platforms - I am taking my first streaming steps on Moonbeam - oodles of potential to create a focused RPG streaming community (that's RPG as in pen and paper, TTRPG... gosh, I am getting old. It used to be enough to say RPG as CRPGs had a different abbreviation...). Alchemy will hopefully see its sheet builder, Foundry will go into a new version, Fabled looks interesting as a VTT.


- As for mapping etc, I really should get to grips with RPG stories, Master of Realms, Chronos Builder and Menyr... at some point.
