Dublin City Today is a channel that i set up to promote Dublin and its people on the 5th of June 2018. After filming the busking scene for a few months with poor equipment and seeing how incredible our Buskers are I upgraded the equipment and decided to make this a busking channel for the Buskers of Dublin City. If you would like to contact any of these musicians you can in most cases find their links in the description of their videos. I am very grateful to each and every subscriber, the support means a lot to both myself and the Buskers. If you are new to Dublin City Today the playlist section of the channel is the best place to get to know everyone. All footage shot with that poor equipment and matters not related to busking has been removed. Thank you for your time and enjoy the show.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11 our thoughts are with the victims, survivors, families and friends of those affected by that horrific day.
Many of us here in Ireland knew people who were caught up in the terrible events of that day and watched on in helpless horror with the rest of the world.
We remember the heroic actions of the first responders and how so many of them lost their lives trying to save the lives of complete strangers.
We will never forget 🙏❤️😇

Jimmy was much loved by the Dublin Busking community. We will remember him for his endless energy, his endless repertoire of music, the special connection he made with the audience and everyone he met.
Jimmy was a great friend to DCT, he was hugely respectful and kind to everyone he came into contact with.
His banter, quick wit and presence will be missed by us all.
We would like to pass on our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family friends and all who loved him.

Very sad news today as Irish singer/songwriter Glen Hansard has tragically died in the early hours of this morning in a motorbike crash in Dublin, he was just 56 years old.
Glen was one of the main characters in the film The Commitments in 1991 and more recently was the main character in the film "Once" . Glen was also the lead singer in the band The Frames.
He started out as a busker on Grafton Street and has remained good friends with many of Buskers never forgetting his roots.
We would like to pass on our deepest condolences to his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
R.I.P Glen you will never be forgotten and your life will be celebrated 🙏😇
