📨📨Thank you so much to everyone who entered the 2026 design-a-card contest!📨📨

I got nearly 700 ENTRIES (the most ever 🤯) from a huge range of hand drawn, digitally illustrated, painted, 3d rendered (and even a wire model) entries!

I want to make sure I go through every entry thoroughly - I then have the impossible task of choosing 4 winners - so it’ll be another few weeks until I announce anything!

I won’t get the chance to reply to every email sadly, but I can’t express how much I appreciate all the amazing work from everyone who entered - what a creative, talented and wacky bunch you are!!! To announce the winners I’ll do a biiiiig video show the 100 best entries and 4 winners and who’ll be a part of the Evolvers TCG forever!!

In the meantime, the funniest entry award goes to Disaster Worlds TCG with Zonk the Ancient. Never expected to see one of my characters with an iPhone, coffee cup and hipster beanie, love it!

Stay tuned and stay creative,

Zack ✌️✌️

🎪🎪My first card show🎪🎪

Last weekend I ran a stand for my TCG at the Card-e-Diem show in London! Teaching people to play the game, spreading the word of the project and meeting some fans, it was honestly the most fun day ever!

Thanks to everyone who came down, my friends who helped out and to the event organisers! It was a lot of work but this has made me realise how much work I’ve put into this game, and feeling like it’s paying off!

Full vlog coming on Thursday (already up on my patreon!) but spreading the word of your game is just as important as making the game itself! So get out there, build some hype and show your game to the world! Here are some pics from the last weekend, bring on the next show 👊👊

✍️ ✍️ A month of Artwork ✍️ ✍️

After finishing the my TCG's starter decks, I’m starting 2026 with a pretty daunting task - making a 100+ card booster set!

This much artwork would normally take me 6 months, but I don’t want to wait that long to have my game ready! So with a fairly quiet January, I’ve set myself a new challenge: Design 1 new card every day for a month!

If you follow me on Patreon you’ll know I’ve been posting each new card day by day, head over to see for yourself! I’ll reveal them all in TCG From Scratch episodes as I go, but here are some favourites so far...

Day 2: 🦈 🦈 ANIMECH TURBO-SHARK 🦈 🦈 (if you’ve seen my old Evolvers TCG you’ll know this guy! The start of a cool, cross-realm archetype!)

Day 4: 🦛 🦛 ANIMECH TURRIPOPOTAMUS 🦛 🦛 (the fire realm and probable boss defender for the animechs!)

Day 7: 🪵 🪵TOT 🪵 🪵 (the stage 1 of a new Evolver line, the mystical ‘Totemos’ of the forest realm!)

Day 10: 🎋 🎋 ULTEMO TOTEMO 🎋 🎋 (The stage 4 Totemo, more of these stackable sidekicks coming soon!…)

Day 1: 🧿 🧿 THE ILLUSIONER 🧿 🧿 (a creepy spirit from the Sky realm)

Day 12: 🥣 🥣 A BIG BAG OF OATS 🥣 🥣 (something to do with Once-A-Turn abilities, dunno what yet)

Let me know which of these are your favourites and what else you’d like to see me draw on my month of artwork!

Link to the Patreon to check out all the art, as its completed, day by day:

13 artworks done, 18 to go 😎 (I'm a couple days behind lol)

🤔🤔This TCG needs a name! 🤔🤔

I want this game to be as much made by the community as it is by me, so I need your help!

Let me know what you think my TCG From Scratch should be called in the comments and while I have a brainstorm, the game is back to ‘UNNAMED TCG’ for now - let’s level up this TCG!

EPISODE 3:

So episode 3 of Making a TCG from Scratch should have come out yesterday. Basically I’ve been sick all weekend and unable to edit half of the video - I could’ve uploaded something half finished but I’d rather quality over quantity and get the best video possible out at the end of this week instead!

I’m still planning to upload episodes every 2 weeks and your feedback on parts 1 & 2 are keeping me so motivated to make this series as good as it can be, so apologies for the wait but part 3 is coming!

Here's what the game currently looks like after episode 2 to tie you over...
