The wind is howling and the power is out…a little reminder that an Alaska winter is just around the corner.❄️
But there’s something about mornings like this that I truly love.
The house is quiet. The wood stove is crackling. My old antique oil lantern is lighting the room while I sit here sipping my morning coffee. ☕️🪔
No lights. No noise. No rush.
Just warmth, stillness and that beautiful kind of peace that makes you slow down for a minute and appreciate the simple things.
Alaska has a funny way of reminding you that sometimes, less really is more.🤍
