Housebuilding giant Persimmon Homes leads sponsorship drive for glamorous black-tie fundraising evening on Saturday 14 November 2026, as charity highlights major local care milestones.

The Three Bears Foundation is delighted to announce that tickets and sponsorship packages are now officially open for its flagship fundraising event, The Three Bears Foundation Winter Charity Ball 2026.

Taking place on Saturday 14 November 2026 at the prestigious York Racecourse, this year’s event is proudly headlined by renowned housebuilder Persimmon Homes PLC, a company founded in York and now one of the UK’s leading housebuilders.

Persimmon Homes has signed on as headline sponsor for 2026, backing the foundation's vital work in the region.

Representatives from Persimmon Homes expressed that they are over the moon to be supporting such an impactful local cause and helping the foundation build on its success year after year.

Funds raised drive direct support into the local community. The charity recently funded a specialist 'cuddle bed' for St Leonard's Hospice and donated £20,000 to York Against Cancer to create a 'Family Room' at the Leveson Centre.

Building on last year’s ball, which raised over £18,000, the 2026 event aims to extend funding for pancreatic cancer research and regional care. Further corporate sponsorship packages are available.

🐻 Incredible Resilience: Supporting Coach Ricc! 🏊‍♂️

At the Three Bears Foundation, we are constantly inspired by our community, and Coach Ricc’s story is the definition of unstoppable.

After surviving a cardiac arrest in 2023, Ricc was training for IRONMAN Copenhagen in June 2025 when he received a devastating pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Following a Whipple procedure and chemotherapy, he’s now in recovery and he’s already fighting back to help others.

On July 20th, Ricc is taking on the Club to Pub Swim in Henley-on-Thames to raise vital funds and crucial awareness for pancreatic cancer.

He’s swimming to:

Fund life-saving pancreatic cancer research.

Highlight the importance of early diagnosis.

Give hope to anyone else facing this disease.

🐻 Big News from The Three Bears Foundation!

We are absolutely thrilled to share some heart-warming news regarding our latest project.

Recently, Three Bears Truestees Peter and Mark revisited St. Leonard’s Hospice to see the incredible impact of their new "Cuddle Beds."

These aren't just standard hospital beds; they are designed to extend, allowing partners, children, and families to physically share space and "cuddle" during the most precious moments.

The Project at a Glance:

The Goal: To fund 7 Cuddle Beds.

The Cost: £15,000 per bed.

The Progress: In just 3 weeks, the hospice has already secured an amazing £48,000!

Our Commitment:

The Three Bears Foundation is proud to announce an initial donation of £15,000 to fully fund one Cuddle Bed immediately.

"These beds provide more than just comfort; they provide the gift of closeness when it matters most."

We are hoping to arrange a formal cheque presentation next week to celebrate this milestone, but the hospice was so excited they even asked for a photo "there and then"!

We will be reviewing further contributions once this bed is in place.
