GoFundMe Update — “Where Things Stand Now”

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been fighting through another round of setbacks in my federal workers’ compensation case. FEMA’s Workers’ Comp section has continued to deny me the ability to use the correct leave code that every injured employee is legally allowed to use while their case is under review. Instead of helping, the agency has pushed me toward options that would drain the last of my remaining leave or label my medical recovery time as “AWOL,” which would be a devastating and retaliatory action.

This is all happening despite my medical documentation, my diagnosis of PTSD after the workplace trauma I endured, and the fact that I have been without pay since August — with two children depending on me. I’m still under doctor-ordered medical leave through July 2025, and I’m still fighting to have my original claim properly recognized and approved.

Right now, I’m preparing a major appeal that corrects the false assumptions, missing evidence, and procedural mistakes made in the denial. It’s exhausting, but I’m not giving up. I’ve come too far in life to let a broken system bury the truth of what happened to me.

Is TikTok USA a platform for Americans?

🚨BIG NEWS: Family of Colombian fisherman files human-rights complaint over U.S. strike on Caribbean boat

The family of Alejandro Carranza Medina, who was killed in a September U.S. strike on a suspected drug-trafficking boat, has filed a formal complaint with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR).

The complaint, filed by human-rights attorney Dan Kovalik, argues that Carranza was a civilian fisherman, not a drug trafficker, and that the bombing was therefore unlawful. It identifies Pete Hegseth as the perpetrator, adding, “US President Donald Trump has ratified the conduct of Secretary Hegseth described herein.”
