New video is coming tomorrow at 10 AM 🎨
This one is a little different from my usual painting-process videos.
I took the painted Roman shade samples from this series and looked at them from an interior point of view — how different color palettes feel in living rooms, dressing rooms, reading nooks, offices, outdoor spaces, and more.
What surprised me most was how much the same design changed depending on the room, the wall color, the furniture, and even the size of the window.
Some combinations worked beautifully. Some really surprised me. And a few designs I liked as paintings, but honestly wouldn’t want in certain rooms.

This time I’m sharing the full process of painting the Roman shade from start to finish — including color, texture, tools, layering, and how I kept the shade flexible while still building the design.
And this project isn’t ending here. I’m also planning a third video where I’ll show the artwork in different room mockups so you can see how it could work in different spaces and home decor styles.

I’m taking my painting beyond the canvas and onto something completely different — a Roman window shade.
In this video, I’ll share the idea behind the project, the fabric testing, parts of the painting process, and the final reveal.
It was such an interesting experiment working on a surface that still has to move, fold, and function as a shade.
