OVER 300,000 VIEWS - MANY THANKS!
This is the last of the series of paintings I have been posting on my community channel for you to enjoy and discuss! I have posted a month's worth of daily posts, so I hope you have followed them all! I recently went along to a disco evening at Cheltenham Town Hall, and there was a marvellous female dancer on the stage to the left, setting the scene of dance.
She had this funny, very large glittering ball helmet that I found mesmerizing. Keep an eye in the Cotswold Charity Shops, where I like to donate my work to the unsuspecting visitor! This dancer was so professional, and her dance was fantastic. She knew all her moves and executed them flawlessly. I could only join her and dance and watch. I painted this piece using a black pen, watercolour, and some silver model enamel painting. Live dancing is exciting to watch, and so I wanted to encapsulate the moment I enjoyed this evening out!
Over the course of the last month I have posted approximately 30 paintings for you to enjoy so please keep liking, subscribing and sharing my artwork that I tend to sell mostly on ebay under the user id ChrisPonton Arwork. Many thanks for viewing this art gallery of mine over the past days in my community post.

I posted this on YouTube a few months ago showing how I used black pen and watercolour to paint this piece of artwork called "The Pondering Lady." It was one of the most popular views I got on YouTube that I received. I loved the lady's sharp blue eyes and her red lips set in direct contrast to the rest of her drawing in painted black paint.
I have always enjoyed painting in pen and ink, as it is a very quick technique to produce a picture, and when the water and the black pen run into each other, it is a fascinating watch. If you go on holiday and have a pen and some watercolour paper, I would encourage anyone to try this technique and to produce a memory of their holiday that they can frame like this one when they go back home. I think I will paint a few more like this, maybe as a series, so keep watching!

I painted this painting using acrylic paint. It was at a time when I had not ventured out to use oil paints as that all seemed rather daunting. I called this piece of artwork "The Pink Locamotive" as it sped through the early morning purple mist. It is a train on a mission having just begun its journey. The pink wheels accentuate the title of the piece and the shape of the wheels make the train look as if it is really leaning into the task at hand.

This was a pencil drawing I drew as I was experimenting with Venice to see how my artwork would appear. It was painted on a piece of paper. Having once visited Venice with my late mother, I enjoyed walking around all the narrow streets. We stayed in a hotel across the lagoon, and it gave us the opportunity to get a water taxi to St. Marks Square.
We visited the famous glass-making area and purchased some Venetian goblets. Back to the drawing: I love to draw and, on a regular basis, will list some of my drawings to buy on eBay. They look great when placed in a simple white picture frame.

I remember clearly painting this painting in acrylic on a stretched canvas. The person who purchased this art piece commented on how sad the figure looked and I have to admit when I painted this painting I had not seen that aspect to the figure in the red dress.
I love the figure as the umbrella reminds me of a lemon squeezy bowl and the lady is firmly standing on a pink granite floor. The background mixes in some pink with the white to absorb the distinct red lady carrying her bag. It is almost as if she is waiting for a bus that is never going to arrive.

I painted this painting in acrylic paint and called it a doll. It seemed to receive a response from those that saw it like Marmite. Some loved it and some didn't. The figure is painted with thick, protruding lips and seems to be pointing to something on the left-hand side.
She appears sort of frozen, as the effect of the background I painted makes it appear as if the painting is being zoomed into. Although an abstract piece, it can evoke all sorts of emotions and responses in the viewer, which is what art is all about. At the time of selling this piece, I remember clearly that one viewer really liked the piece, and I was so surprised as it is a challenging view.

I painted this painting as my take on Van Gough's famous sunflower painting we all know and love. It used minimalism to make a bold and simple statement, with the wind blowing the top flowers to the left.
With again only a few colours like the iron painting, I felt this made an uncomplicated piece that could be appreciated in all its simplicity.
The smooth yellow solid vase creates a lovely contrast to the almost speckled flower petals surrounding their bright green centres. The painting was painted in acrylic.
