HappyFilmMan - Invidious

Hey everybody, the HappyFilmMan here. I started this channel to talk about something I love: physical media. 4K, Blu-ray, boutique labels, blind buys — if it comes on a disc, I'm probably collecting it. Sometimes it's a haul with Sandra (who's here to tell me which purchases were a mistake). Sometimes I just jump on camera because I saw something that completely caught me off guard. The channel is about the movies that make me happy, the releases worth your shelf space, and that feeling of strolling your collection like you're back in a video store. If you still want to own the movies you love, you're in the right place. Subscribe, drop a comment, and until next time, pop some popcorn and stay happy!

Well, everyone warned me… and you were all RIGHT. 😂🩸

Finally sat down to check out 30 Days of Night on 4K, and WOW. What a disappointing upgrade!

I genuinely struggled to see any meaningful difference between this and the Blu-ray. For a movie with such incredible atmosphere and visuals, this deserved SO much better.

Love the movie. Love the steelbook artwork. Absolutely DO NOT love this transfer. 😩

Anyone else disappointed with this release, or am I missing something?

The new Die Hard 4K steelbooks are proof that studios expect collectors to pay MORE for WORSE artwork! 💸

Which do you honestly prefer: modern 4K artwork or old-school VHS cover art?

Why do studios think steelbooks are the end-all be-all of releases these days? It’s super annoying!
