The second landscape in my Patreon‑exclusive series is now live. These paintings are all about simple countryside scenes — big skies, open space, and clean shapes. I’m filming the full process with real‑time commentary for anyone who wants to go deeper than the YouTube edits.

If you enjoy the work I share here, supporting the series on Patreon genuinely helps keep this channel going. It lets me spend more time painting, filming, and putting out the kind of videos you come here for.

You can join the series and watch the full videos over on my Patreon channel.

⭐ This Week’s Video — Preview Talk

This week’s video is a dusk study of Charles Bridge — one of those scenes where the light fades quickly and the shapes start to merge into simple, strong silhouettes. It’s a great subject for building confidence with evening and night scenes, because you’re forced to rely on value, not detail.

I talk about handling the darker passages without overworking them, keeping the atmosphere soft, and letting the reflections on the wet cobbles carry the mood. There’s also a bit on composition — how the tower on the right anchors the whole piece, how the dome balances the left side, and why the walkway gives you a natural lead‑in.

If you’re looking to get more comfortable with low‑light painting, this week’s video is a solid step.

CAPTURING THE LIGHT

A quiet harbour scene this week — simple shapes, clear morning light, and that mix of working boats against still water. The big vessel holds the composition, with the smaller boats leading the eye across the surface and out toward the hills. It’s a piece built on calmness and space, letting the light carry most of the feeling.

The video is now up on Patreon.

Riverside scene that was a commission this week. I’ve just finished putting together a full step‑by‑step guide for this painting, and it’s now available on my Patreon for members. In the tutorial I show exactly how I built the reflections, placed the figure, and kept the whole scene fresh and lively. Everything is kept simple so you can follow along easily at home. Whether you’re new to watercolour or have been painting for years, I think you’ll enjoy this one. If you’d like to see how I created it from start to finish, it’s now available over there.
