T.V.R. #70: God Calls His People to Confront Evil, Not Hide From It | With The Berean Files

Are Christians supposed to avoid darkness—or confront it? Many believers have been taught that holiness means separation from darkness. Yet throughout Scripture we repeatedly see God's people confronting evil, exposing darkness, engaging spiritual opposition, rescuing the lost, and standing against the powers of this world. We are joined by Zack and Jason from ‪@thebereanfiles‬ we examine whether engaging darkness is not merely permissible—but a biblical necessity. Topics include: • Why this subject has become increasingly important today • What "wrestling not against flesh and blood" actually means (Ephesians 6) • Biblical examples of wrestling, subduing, guarding against, resisting, exposing, and overcoming darkness • Why Jesus intentionally spent time with sinners • The relationship between discipleship and spiritual warfare • What "Vengeance is Mine" really means • Are modern Christians misunderstanding biblical passivity? • Does following Christ require confrontation rather than retreat? • What can we learn from Old Testament and New Testament examples of engaging evil without becoming consumed by it? If you've ever wondered whether Christians are called to merely endure evil or actively confront it through truth, righteousness, and faithful obedience, this discussion is for you.
