Apalachee School Shooter Colt Gray : Guilty Plea
On July 24, 2026, Colt Gray pleaded guilty to all 55 criminal charges stemming from the September 4, 2024 Apalachee High School shooting in Winder, Georgia. With the guilty plea accepted by the court, the proceedings immediately shifted to sentencing, where survivors, victims' families, and members of the Apalachee High School community began delivering emotional victim impact statements.
The September 2024 shooting claimed the lives of students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, and teachers Richard Aspinwall and Cristina Irimie, while nine others were injured. The tragedy shocked the nation and led to one of the most closely followed criminal cases in recent years.
