He has undergone clinical training in Leeds. He has made significant contributions to geriatric psychiatry, neurodegenerative disorders, community mental health, and psychiatric education. Dr. Harbishettar also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Psychiatry Spectrum and Deputy Editor of the Indian Journal of Psychiatry. He is also leading the Geriatric Healthy Ageing awareness series as part of VayoManasa Sanjeevani initiative.
