After a recent stint with the Indiana Fever where some say she was under appreciated and much maligned, forward/center Natasha Howard returned to the Minnesota Lynx, where she was reunited with Coach Cheryl Reeve and former teammates who now serve as assistant coaches.
Howard, now in her 13th year in the league, has had a career resurgence thanks in no small part to her pairing with rookie phenom point guard Olivia Miles and their dynamic pick and roll.
Miles and Howard were named starters on this year’s All Star Team — Miles’ first selection and Howard’s third.
Howard, who has won championships with the Lynx and the Seattle Storm, hopes to win another with the new look Lynx with Miles as the head of the snake and Naphessa Collier returning to form after double ankle surgery.
Here’s to you Flash. Thank you for your service. See you in the playoffs.
