The world’s most accessible training and activity centre is being developed by Maya CARE Foundation in the heart of Pune, India to enable wheelchair users, people who are blind, elderly with mobility constraints, to train and be productive in an environment in a dignified manner.
The best example of the importance of this centre is the case of Abhijit, whose dream of becoming a national-level wrestler was interrupted by a road accident that left him paralysed. He found an opportunity to earn and rebuild his confidence, representing Maya CARE in the winning team at the AIMA National Competition as National Manager, Maya CARE.
Maya CARE empowers people with disabilities through training, mentoring and paid employment, helping them achieve financial independence and live with dignity, while offering FREE assistance to the elderly across India. UK and Nepal..
