Ramayana is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language epic mythological film based on the ancient Sanskrit epic of the same name by Valmiki. Produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash through Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations alongside DNEG, the film is co-written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari in association with Shridhar Raghavan. Conceived as the first installment of a planned two-part film series, it features an ensemble cast consisting of Ranbir Kapoor, Yash (in his Hindi film debut), Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey and Sunny Deol alongside Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan and Lara Dutta.
