The "Anima Christi" is a beautiful prayer that dates back to the Middle Ages. It's even more beautiful when put to music, and more beautiful still when that music is sung by Sr. Miriam, O.P., Sr. Maria Karol, O.P., and Sr. Mariana, O.P.! This prayer is perfect for the Easter season and Divine Mercy Sunday because it asks Jesus to make Himself present to us in a close and even physical way. Here is a translation of the Latin: Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy wounds hide me. Suffer me not to be separated from Thee. From the malignant enemy defend me. In the hour of my death call me, And bid me come unto Thee, That with Thy Saints I may praise Thee Forever and ever. Amen. #easter #singing #divinemercy #dominicansistersofmary #animachristi _______________________ Join the Openlight Media Community: TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@openlight.media Instagram: www.instagram.com/openlightmedia Facebook: www.facebook.com/openlightmediaproductions YouTube: / @openlightmedia Twitter/X: x.com/Openlightmedia Website: openlightmedia.com/ Download the Torch App: openlightmedia.com/torch-app/ Teachers Pay Teachers: www.teacherspayteachers.com/store/education-in-vir… Pinterest: www.pinterest.com/openlightmediaproductions/ Flowpage: flow.page/openlightmedia
