IMPORTANT SIDENOTE TO READ: I honestly don't understand the tendency to negatively criticize everything, almost out of prejudice, even if it's something light that doesn't require hyper-analysis. We've reached the point where nothing is ever good enough, everything sucks and has to suck for anything mainstream to be enjoyable. If it lacks detailed direction, complex plots, messages and sub-messages, artistic shots, or actors fresh from a Sundance film, then we don't like it, it's not good, it's not enough... EVER. Personally, I find this viewing exhausting, and I say this as a film buff who watches and loves festivals and award shows, as well as indie productions! I don't want to start a controversy, but in this case I feel like I should at least say a few words here because, frankly, we're all becoming too heavy-handed, too critical, and everything for the sake of anything. Please, let's get back down to earth and start enjoying, without too many pretensions, even light-hearted films. Honestly, in this time of greater weight than ever, weighed down by everything going on in the world, they're good for the soul.
Sorry for the outburst, bye 💙
